As we made our way to the chambers, the familiar voices of Lily and Elladan filled the air, their laughter echoing off the stone walls of the Woodland Realm. Intrigued, I slowed my pace, eager to catch snippets of their conversation.
"So, Lily," Elladan began, his tone teasing, "do you remember the time you mistook a squirrel for a messenger of doom?"
Lily's laughter rang out, bright and infectious. "How could I forget?" she replied, her voice tinged with amusement. "I swear, that squirrel had it out for me. It kept following us for miles, chattering away like it had some important message to deliver."
Elladan chuckled, shaking his head in mock disbelief. "And here I thought you were the brave warrior who could face down any foe," he teased, his eyes dancing with mirth.
Lily rolled her eyes playfully. "Hey, even brave warriors have their moments of weakness," she retorted, a grin spreading across her face. "Besides, have you ever seen a squirrel with such menacing eyes? It was like something out of a nightmare."
Their laughter continued, punctuated by tales of their adventures and misadventures as they made their way through chambers. I couldn't help but smile at their lighthearted banter, the camaraderie between them a testament to the bond they had forged over the past five years.
Time skipped 2-3 hours-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the Woodland Realm, I found myself wandering the halls of Thranduil's palace, lost in thought. The events of the day still lingered in my mind, the memory of Lily's boldness and Thranduil's reaction playing out like scenes from a play.
Lost in my musings, I almost didn't notice the sound of laughter drifting from the nearby shooting range. Curious, I followed the sound, my footsteps echoing off the polished stone floors as I made my way toward the source.
As I rounded the corner, I spotted Lily standing at the shooting range, her bow drawn and ready, a look of fierce concentration on her face. Elladan stood beside her, offering words of encouragement as she took aim at the distant target.
"Steady now, Lily," Elladan said, his voice calm and reassuring. "You've got this."
Lily nodded, her eyes narrowing as she focused on her target. With a deep breath, she released the arrow, the sound of its flight cutting through the air like a whisper.
To my surprise, the arrow struck true, hitting the bullseye with pinpoint accuracy. Lily let out a triumphant whoop, a wide grin spreading across her face as she turned to face Elladan.
"Did you see that?" she exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement. "I actually hit the target!"
Elladan smiled, his expression proud. "I never doubted you for a moment," he said, his tone sincere. "You're a natural with the bow, Lily."
I watched from the sidelines, impressed by Lily's skill and determination. It was clear that she had come a long way since her arrival in Middle-earth, honing her abilities and proving herself to be a formidable warrior.
As Lily prepared to take another shot, she caught sight of me standing nearby, a surprised expression crossing her features. "Prince Legolas," she greeted me, her voice warm with genuine affection. "Care to join us?"
I nodded, stepping forward to join them at the shooting range. "I would be honored," I replied, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips.
