Lily's Pov--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The anticipation of the Starlight Festival filled the air with a sense of excitement that was contagious. As the day dawned, I couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement in my chest, knowing that tonight would be a night to remember.

I joined Arwen in her chambers as we prepared for the festival ahead. The room was filled with the soft glow of candlelight, casting a warm, inviting atmosphere as Arwen stood before the mirror, her elegant gown shimmering in the light.

"Arwen, you look stunning sister," I exclaimed, my eyes widening in admiration as I took in her appearance.

Arwen smiled warmly, her eyes sparkling with gratitude. "Thank you, Lily," she replied, her voice soft with appreciation. "But I couldn't have done it without your help."

A gentle smile played at the corners of her lips. "Now, it's your turn," she said, stepping forward to stand beside me. "Let me help you get dressed."

Together, we rummaged through my wardrobe. I didn't carry too many clothes with me so we had few options. We selected a gown that caught both our eyes. Its fabric was soft against my skin, its color reminiscent of the evening sky. The most striking feature of the dress was its color. It was a deep, rich shade of midnight blue, reminiscent of the night sky itself. Specks of silver thread sparkled amidst the fabric, mimicking the twinkling stars that adorned the heavens above. With Arwen's help, I slipped into the dress, feeling a sense of transformation wash over me as she fastened the clasps with delicate precision.

As I stood before the mirror, Arwen's smile reflected back at me, her eyes shining with pride. "You look beautiful, Lily," she declared, her voice filled with genuine admiration.

I couldn't help but blush at her words, a rush of warmth flooding my cheeks. "Thank you, Arwen," I replied.

As Arwen and I strolled through the festival, we unexpectedly crossed paths with Lord Elrond in the hallway. His presence added a touch of grace to the lively atmosphere.

"Lily, Arwen," he greeted us with a warm smile, his eyes reflecting the joy of the festival. "Are you enjoying yourselves?"

Arwen nodded eagerly, her enthusiasm evident. "Yes, Father," she replied, her voice brimming with excitement. "The festival is wonderful."

I couldn't help but agree, feeling a sense of awe at the festivities around us. "It's more than I ever imagined," I admitted, my voice filled with wonder.

As we conversed with Lord Elrond, I noticed the arrival of Thranduil and Legolas. Their attention seemed to be drawn to me, their gazes lingering in fascination. It was a flattering yet unexpected moment, leaving me feeling both surprised and flattered by their attention.

Thranduil approached, his presence seemed to cast a shadow over the festive atmosphere. Despite my lingering anger towards him, I couldn't deny the sense of curiosity that tugged at my thoughts.

To my surprise, Thranduil reached out and took my hand, his touch surprisingly gentle. Before I could react, he pressed a soft kiss to the back of my hand, his gesture unexpected and uncharacteristic.

"I apologize, My lady," he said, his voice sincere. "For any offense I may have caused you."

His words caught me off guard, leaving me momentarily speechless. I hadn't expected such a display of humility from the elvenking, especially given our tumultuous history.
