The Lakes {Anakin Skywalker}

Chapter Five

Once the two girls were in Maia's room, the brunette grinned, "I owe you a story."

Rose grinned at her, "I have a feeling that I know where this story is going but I want to hear it anyway."

Maia laughed, as the two got comfortable on the bed, "Okay so like I mentioned we were seventeen, and it was one of our first pretty much solo missions, we had a few others there in case things went sideways but we were the ones that were doing most of the work because they were testing us... it was late one night we still had a few things to gather intel on and were going to be there for a least another two days to make sure everything was in order so we decided to sneak out of the ship and explore the city a little that night."

Rose just smiled at the look on Maia's face as she told the story, "So we explored for an hour maybe when we found this cute little garden, it was very secluded but still had security patrols that came around I guess it was to keep people from doing what Ani and I did which means we weren't the first ones to do it, it had these adorable little lights that twinkled in the moonlight."

The blonde smirked this story was going exactly where she had thought it was, but she said nothing letting the brunette finish before she commented.

"Anyway so we've always been a little adventurous with PDA and all that stuff because most people in the Jedi Temple aren't allowed attachments like that, but where we're soulmates it's an expectation... but anyway that night in the garden was our first time crossing that line fully... it was thrilling like the idea that someone could catch us at any time made it that much more memorable, but anyway we got caught sneaking out by the security patrol and they arrested us for trespassing, for the majority of people but they knew exactly what we had done because of the state of us when we were sneaking out, so they altered my uncle who was with us on the mission and told him why Ani and I had gotten arrested... that was a little mortifying but he promised not to tell my parents the real reason we were arrested so they still to this day think it was for the trespassing."

Rose snorted with a grin on her face, "Oh my god... that went exactly where I thought it was going to go just by the look on your face when you mentioned it yesterday..."

Maia laughed at that, "I'm honestly surprised that the Doc and Grey didn't catch onto it I wasn't being all that subtle about it..."

Rose burst out laughing at that, "Yeah that look on your face and the giggling? Was almost a dead giveaway but they're men so they naturally wouldn't understand that type of behavior.... Though I am curious I heard Grey's question as I walked in what does cause you to space out like that?"

Maia smiled softly, "Well as you know Ani and I are soulmates, and both force-sensitive, so we share an even more special, deeper connection than most soulmates do through the force, now normally a Jedi can use the force sense someone's force presence, which that's normal for a Jedi, but Ani and I can automatically pinpoint where the other is when we are in a certain vicinity to the other it's a stronger presence, but we can also communicate with each other, almost telepathically but it's through the force which is why sometimes I will just randomly zone out because I'm talking to Ani..."

Rose nodded understanding more, "Why were you so worried about him when you first woke up if you don't mind me asking?"

Maia sighed, "Ani is special, and all I will say since it's not my place is that before he met my uncle he didn't have the best life, we will just leave that there but, I noticed as we grew up after meeting that sometimes he lets his emotions take over and does things recklessly, so after I ended up here, I had just seen him and was almost begging my parents to send him with me because I didn't know how he was would react to what happened and I didn't want it to cause him to be more called to the dark side because of it... but after I woke up I made contact with him through our connection which I wasn't sure if it would work being as far away as we were but it did and I reassured him that I was fine and now we can just communicate with one another like we always had.

The blonde nodded, "Okay gotcha that does make sense, but that's cute though that you can just talk to him wherever you want to and or need to now."

"Yeah." so after their conversation the two ended up in the kitchen and got some food which they were joined by Grey who gave his baby sister a look, "All right it seems you've finished your story with Rose so will you answer my question now?"

Maia just nodded at him and bit her lip before she sighed, "Okay so to answer that question we need to rewind a bit..." Grey nodded at her to continue. "So I've found my bonded, I was young when we met, we're the same age just so you know and it's not weird or anything like that but because we're both force-sensitive we have a stronger, deeper connection than normal soulmates through the force and it allows us to communicate telepathically in a way but we're the only ones that can, that we know of because it's rare that both soulmates would end up being force-sensitive, so when I space out like that I'm more than likely either just meditating normally or talking to Anakin."

Grey nodded at her, realizing her comment from when he and Rose found out that they were soulmates made more sense now, "so that's what you meant when you said you had never seen it happen to anyone else before."

Maia nodded, "Yeah I knew because I had experienced it myself, but had never seen it happen to anyone else, until then."

"How young were you exactly when you met?"

"Ani and I were eight when we met, and I knew the moment we locked eyes what had happened because Dad had explained what he had seen when he met my mum for the first time and that was the extract thing that happened when Anakin and I met for the first time, my uncle had brought him to the temple because he knew that Ani was force-sensitive and saw something in him." she looked at the blonde "like I mentioned to you Rosie, Ani is special and my uncle could see that from the moment he met little eight-year-old Anakin. Though nobody had expected the connection between us when my uncle brought him back to Couracsant after that mission."

"How do you manage being so far away from him?"

"Us being able to communicate the way we can does help with that, but I do miss him terribly and that feeling won't go away until I see him again, I know that but I also know that we will be together again soon I may not know exactly when but I can just feel it, that it will be soon."

There we go Maia told Rose her story as promised and Grey knows about Ani, The next chapter will be the start of Dalek, and then after that will probably be part two of Dalek, and then the next chapter will be an interlude before The Long Game which will be Maia and Ani's reunion.
