"Soo? What happened?" Josie asked, as Dylan made her way over to Luke's bunk. He was leaned against it while Chris and Connor were standing, talking with him. Josie and Max were bouncing on the balls of their feet, waiting.

Dylan bit her lip as she took a stand next to Luke. She had woken up with no nightmares and absolutely no problem sleeping. She hadn't seen Percy in her dreams, which was a relief to her, but when she woke, he was still curled in his sleeping bag tight.

"Hmm. She fell of the roof if that's what your asking," Luke spoke up.

Josie and Max burst out laughing and Connor and Chris looked at Dylan with shock. "You fell off the roof? Is that even possible?" Chris asked, raising an eyebrow.

"An eagle screeched. Took me by surprise and I slipped," Dylan answered.

"Yeah, but you tried to throw a stick and you hit yourself,"

"I didn't think that one through. Okay. It was late and I thought it best,"

"Yeah, throwing sticks at roofs. Totally,"

Dylan lightly punched Luke in the arm. He rolled his eyes and smiled. Dylan smiled back. "Sure. Whatever. I just can't believe you guys set us up," Dylan said, dropping her head before laughing. She looked up and stared at Max and Josie. "Mr. D switched the candy. It was sweet and sour,"

"What? He took those weeks ago and they were all sweet. Guess he added his own." Josie sighed, rolling her eyes. "He knew we'd come for the candy,"

"So, like what happened? Did you guys make out? You guys would make a perfect couple. You guys have chemistry," Max added as she leaned against Chris and Dylan raised an eyebrow.

"What about you guys?" Dylan asked.

"Us...talk about you guys. Neither of you are silent when sneaking back in. The plastic woke me up," Chris scoffed, waving his hand at Dylan and Luke.

"You're a light sleeper," Luke responded, a joke weaved in between his words.

Percy gasped himself awake catching Dylan's attention. She turned around to face him. Luke turned around, and Percy was leaning on his side. "You okay?"

"Super," Percy answered, his sarcasm filling each syllable, throwing his blanket to the side and sitting up. He glanced around and then back at Dylan and Luke and the others.

"We all have them, you know," Luke clicked his tongue and walked around the fire pit. Dylan followed, staying close to him. "Intense, recurring nightmares. That's normal here. And the daydreams, and the ADHD and dyslexia,"

Percy stood up and rubbed his eyes. His foot was caught in the blanket so he gently kicked it. "Demigods just process reality differently than humans do. For the first time in your life, you're just like everyone else," Dylan added, leaning against the fireplace. "Dylan Marci,"

"Percy Jackson," the blond boy answered slowly. He looked Dylan up and down and she did the same. "So are you also... Do you not know who your..."2

"Am I unclaimed?" Luke asked, and Dylan lowered her eyes. "No. Hermes is my father. That doesn't matter, we're all on the same team here,"

"Yeah, some of us," Dylan grumbled thinking of Clarisse. Clarisse was on her own team. She received a nudge from Luke in the arm. She looked up, glared at him before looking at Percy. His hair was unkempt and messy, from his sleep.

"Why, is that okay? Why do they get to bring us here to just ignore some of us," Percy asked.

"Spend too much time trying to figure out why the gods do whatever it is they do, you'll drive yourself crazy. Sooner you stop worrying about that, the sooner you can enjoy what this place actually does offer," Dylan said, knowing full well she tried to find her origins but finally gave up.
