Ep. 5 - A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers

The last person Percy laid eyes on was Dylan. She was trying to save him and she would have sacrificed herself to save him, in which she did, in some way. She took the posion dart from the Chimera in the train.

Dylan exhaled a slow breath. She just let her friend die. She was the one to pull back just because of pain in her sprained wrist and what Echidna had whispered to her. She would have gladly switched places with Percy and splat down on the cement for him.

"Percy..." his name sounded lifeless as it escaped her parched lips. She stared at the ground hoping there was a sliver of a chance that he may have survived, but with that big fall, there was no chance he did.

"Oh honey, you literally just let your friend go," Echidna laughed as Dylan flipped over on her elbows. The Chimera snarled and Dylan glared at it, wanted to kill it. "You look the very same you did two years ago,"

Ice ran threw Dylan's bruins veins. The poison was spreading faster than it should of, sucking away the rest of her energy. "That-that was you?"

Dylan glanced to her right to see her sword lying serveral feet away. If she could get to it, then she might have the chance of survival. "A child of Hermes saving you. You child, your special, but I assume you have no clue of your future,"

"I know my future and you can't stop me,"

"Oh sweetie the poison in your veins will kill you unless your father saves you,"

Dylan grunted as she crawled towards to the wall. The Chimera snarled, baring its teeth, but Dylan ignored it's warning. Echidna sighed, as she knew what Dylan was planning. She clicked her tongue, however Dylan interrupted her. "How did you know?"

"I know things, sweetie,"

The Chimera threw it's tail intot he wall. Dylan shrieked a threw her head into a ball. The Chimera turned, it's tail swinging above it's head violently and Echidna took her place next to the demonic creature.

"So, honey. What are you going to do? Fight?" she asked, as Dylan pulled herself up onto the wall. Dylan flipped her sword in her hands, but it felt like a million pounds. Fighting every urge to drop her sword, she stared at the Chimera. "I want you to die a slow death. You're father isn't here to save you, and I doubt he'll save you now," Echidna said, patting the Chimera on the shoulder. Dylan was on the floor, just waiting. She told Luke she'd come home but she wasn't going to make it.

The door opened the alarm still blaring. Dylan didn't have the energy to look, but only stared at the Chimera, praying to the gods that it wasn't going to attack her again. "Well, hello Echidna. Long time, no see. Is that really how you want to end her? I mean, really? Wouldn't you want to kill her yourself?"

"Ares..." Echidna squeezed her eyes to slits as she turned to him. Dylan shifted her gaze to see Clarisse's father standing at the end of the Arch near the door. His leather jacket trailing by his ankles, and his biker's uniform matched well underneath. He had a baseball bat draped over his shoulder before he started walking. "What are you doing here? I thought you were on the other side of the country,"

"Yeah, well, I'm here aren't I?" Ares replied as he dropped the bat. It shifted into a large sword, sharp and glistening. He tossed it upward and it flipped twice before falling back into his' hand. He lifted the sword up before flinging it with an incredible force. It dug itself into the Chimera's side. Screeching in pain, the Chimera stumbled away from Dylan. Echidna screamed, horrified and ran over to her baby.

Ares walked over towards Dylan. She curled up into a ball, ready for Ares to end her life, but he only picked up her sword and nodded. Echidna whipped her head around and glared at Ares. She lifted her hand and two more holes in the carpeted floor appeared, but Ares just danced around them.
