Chapter Seven: Asakusa

Tanjiro and Nezuko were running as fast as they can!.....they needed to reach Asakusa as soon as they possibly can....people could be dieing...being killed by demons.....they had to get there in time...
to save as many lives as they can....they can't fail them like how they failed Satoko...even though they were able to arrive at the northwest village earlier than a normal slayer would they were still not able to arrive in time to save the poor girl.

The siblings had finally made it to Asakusa. As always the siblings had arrived at their destination earlier than a normal slayer. Tanjiro and Nezuko were awed by Asakusa...it was night time and the city was enveloped in bright lights, the Tsugikuni siblings wondered how advanced japan's citys have become. Staring at the tall buildings and seeing a tram for the first time. Tanjiro and Nezuko began to feel dizzy so they tried to seek refuge in a alleyway but they they saw a couple kissing, the siblings felt so embarrassed!...they bowed and quickly apologized to the couple and promptly left. The siblings ran throughout the city but they were overwhelmed by everything they saw. Eventually the siblings reached the outskirts of Asakusa where they found an Udon shop. An exhausted Tanjiro and Nezuko ordered a bowl from the shopkeeper.

After their bowls arrived. Tanjiro and Nezuko were about to enjoy their meal when suddenly the scent of a demon fulled the air. The two got up and left to investigate. Tanjiro began to breathe heavily and scan the city. Tanjiro and Nezuko took their katanas with them and followed the scent to it's source and wondered why the scent appeared so suddenly. Eventually the siblings reached a busy street with heavy foot traffic but Tanjiro with his superior sense of smell was able to determine the source of the horrible scent....he believed that it was Muzan.

Tanjiro saw a man just in front of him who was giving off the vial and putrid scent. Tanjiro grabbed the man's shoulder and the man turned his head reveling his red cat-like eyes. Tanjiro realized that this man is Muzan Kibutsuji himself....but....why was he so terrified....Tanjiro can smell the scent of fear coming from him....he never expected that scent to come from such a powerful, skilled and high ranked demon...especially not from the demon king himself?!.

Tanjiro was about to draw his katana from it's saya but he heard the voice of a little girl and saw the child in Muzan's arms. 'Daddy why are you scared?' the little girl asked her father. 'It's ok sweetheart...i was just a little starteld that's all' said Muzan to his daughter and he was partially telling the truth....Muzan was horrified and starteld when he saw Tanjiro.....the boy was a splitting image of that devil...Yoriichi! with his long hair and red haori and those hanafuda earrings...Muzan wanted to get out of this situation as quickly as possible!....in the calmest voice he could muster Muzan asked the siblings if he could help them...he was trying to hide his panic!. Muzan's wife approached wondering what all this commotion was about.

The Tsugikuni siblings were horrified at the woman and child's inability to sense that their father and husband was actually a demon. Muzan's wife asked him if he has met Tanjiro and Nezuko before but Muzan denied saying that they had probably mistaken him for someone else. Muzan seized the opportunity to flee and escape, he silently unsheathed his claws and sliced a man who was passing by in the neck, he did it so quickly and silently the no one noticed apart from Tanjiro and Nezuko.

The poor man felt excruciating pain from the cuts but then he suddenly began to change worrying his wife. His teeth became fangs and his eyes turned to a dark red, scaring her. Tanjiro attempted to rush in and stop him but the newly transformed demon had bit into his wife's shoulder, terrifying the surrounding crowd as Muzan silently watches.
