As the morning sun filtered through the curtains, Seeker stirred from her slumber, her mind still hazy from the remnants of sleep. As she blinked away the remnants of dreams, she couldn't shake the feeling of warmth and comfort that lingered in the air.
Stretching languidly, Seeker took a moment to savor the familiar scent that surrounded her, a sense of peace washing over her as she basked in the afterglow of sleep. But as she sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she couldn't help but feel a pang of confusion tugging at her heart.
For in that moment, Seeker realized that she was alone in her room, the comforting presence that had surrounded her in sleep and rest was nowhere to be found. And though she couldn't quite put her finger on it, there was a lingering sense of longing in her heart, as if something – or someone – was missing from her side.
Shrugging off the feeling, Seeker pushed herself out of bed and began to go about her morning routine after a week of rest from her fever, the events of the previous week fading into the background as she focused on the tasks at hand. But deep down, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off, that there was a piece of the puzzle missing that she couldn't quite grasp.
Meanwhile, across the protocol, Iso watched from a distance, his heart heavy with the weight of his secret. For an entire week, he had taken care of Seeker, tending to her every need with a devotion that bordered on love. But as he watched her go about her day, oblivious to his efforts, he knew that he could never tell her the truth – that he had been the one to care for her, to hold her hand as she slept, to watch over her with a love that he could never fully express.
And so, as Seeker went about her day, her mind filled with thoughts of the dream that had left her feeling oddly unsettled, Iso remained hidden in the shadows, his heart heavy with the burden of his unrequited love. For in Seeker, he had found something worth fighting for, something worth dying for, and he would do whatever it took to keep her safe, even if it meant sacrificing his own happiness in the process.
