I am a creature in a cave with wild hair and torn clothing and sharp teeth and wide eyes. My eyes glow I skitter along the walls and bite rocks.
I am ungoverned.

Kai sat on the bed he had woken up in, trying to process everything that had happened so far.
It felt wrong to call it his bed, since it wasn't really his. I belong to the body he was in right now, but not him.
He wondered what happened to the Kai from this world. He would go ask Zane, but he wasn't really sure how to find him.
He was so lost in his thoughts, he narrowly missed the sound of knocking on his door.
He heaved himself off the bed and walked over to the door, opening it.
"Greetings, Your Highness," Greeted Jay from the doorway.
It was strange seeing the usually rambunctious and moter-mouthed Jay be so... Composed.
"Hi," Kai mumbled in reply.
He could tell something was bothering Jay. Even in whatever strange world that book sucked him into, Jay still had these certain little tells that gave away what he was feeling.
"What's on your mind?" He inquired before Jay could say anything.
Jay seemed a bit startled.
"Oh, I, uh... I heard about you losing your memories, and I simply wanted to know... If you still remember anything about me?" He seemed sort of embarrassed to ask.
Kai smiled.
"Can't say I remember much, unfortunately. But I remember your name, and I'm pretty sure I remember little bits about you."
Kai reached up and ruffled his hair.
Jay's face went red (not shipping, he's just embarrassed.) and he covered his face with his hands.
"Your Highness! That was wildly inappropriate!" Jay chastised.
Kai waved his hand in dismissal.
"Whatever. I'm a prince, aren't I? Who's going to stop me from being playful with the people I consider my friends?"
Jay stopped.
He removed his hands from his face to reveal teary eyes.
"You... Consider me your friend?" He asked tentatively.
Same old Jay.
Kai nodded.
Jay burst into tears.
They stood there for a while, Jay crying and Kai patting his back in comfort.
They got a few curious looks from servants passing by, but Kai paid no mind.
"Feeling better?" Kai asked once Jay had seemed to calm down.
Jay sniffled.
"Yes. Thank you, Your Highness."
"Not a problem. Did you have something you wanted to tell me? Surely you didn't come here for no reason?"
In a flash, Jay was distracted by his original goal.
The more things change, the more things stay the same.
Or something like that. Kai didn't really know.
(It's actually the author, but we don't talk about that.)
"Oh yes! I came to say that the Royal Children of The Spinjitzu Kingdom have arrived. They are waiting in one of the West Wing sitting rooms, along with Her Highness."
