First, can I gush about the name Rosailles? What a delightful and brilliant marriage of words to convey not only something about the character and its world, but also grounding it to the reality we know and love.
You are immensely adept at crafting character dynamics — from Ophelia's playful banter with her brother, to her tense and layered interactions with her mother. The scenes are organic, the characters alive.
The unveiling of your world and its histories, and its magics and politics, is deftly done. We are kept informed just enough, tantalised just enough, to be tempted by more.
