"Where is your boyfriend?" Henry asked over FaceTime.
"He's out with Ken but what's up with you?"
"Nothing. You are avoiding the subject."
"Stewy is hiding something from me. So are you."
"What would he be hiding from you? I'm not avoiding anything."
"Ken is planning something and he as Stewy on his side. You are, you have not said a word about Shiv since Thanksgiving."

Henry sighed.
"Let us both avoid this."
"I would like to avoid this forever."
Henry laughed.

"Soph, you can't hide, we are not 10 anymore. Talk to Stewy and get back to me."

...

Sophie paced around Stewy's apartment.
She didn't know how to go forward. How to talk to him without sabotaging everything.

Sophie heard key noises and the door opened.

"Babe?" She called out.

Stewy walked him.
"Sophie," His expression was riddled with guilt.
"What?"

"Sophie. What the fuck is happening?" She heard her brother's voice.
"Ken?"

Stewy walked up to her and hugged her.
His presence, his beard on her temple was a comfort.
"I'll let you two talk." He whispered and kissed her on the forehead.

"Ken?"
"Sophie? What the fuck? You're fucking my best friend."

"Hey! We are together!" Stewy screamed from the Kitchen.
"Stay out of this!" Ken screamed back.

"I love him and he loves me. We have been together almost a year now."
"You have lied to me for months." He accused.
"No, I just didn't tell you. And with the way you have been behaving since you entered this apartment not even a minute ago, you can't say anything to me."

Ken sighed.

"Look, I hate this. A lot. He is not good for you, Sophie. We will always choose his money over you." He whispered.
"I won't see him hurt you, I won't."
"I'm a big girl and I don't need your rescuing."
"We will talk about this."
"Talk? Or will you just scream at me?"
"Sophie." He warned.
"You will not be with him. Break up. Right now!"

"No! I'm tired of you dictating my life. You are not ruining this for me like you did my other relationships. You cannot judge me or Stewy. Not when your wife doesn't talk to you and your kids don't see you."

Ken was shell-shocked.

"I'm sorry Ken. I love you. So much. But you can't do this to me. So now you need to leave."

Sophie heard her brother's voice but only heard her father's words.

...

"You could've given me a heads up."
"He almost killed me after I told him."

They sat on his large, white couch.

"You told him?"
"Yeah."
"You told him?"
Stewy realised the implication and smiled.

"Yes, I did. I do love you."
"I love you."

He pulled her onto him.

"Do you think it will be alright?" Her head was in the crook of his neck.
"With your dad? Or us?"
"Both."
"I don't know about your dad, but I will marry you, Soph."
She laughed.
"Oh, will you now?"
"I will. And we will be happy."

They stilled.

"Why did you want to tell people before?" She asked suddenly.
He tensed.
"I'm scared." He admitted.
"You are Sophie Roy. I'm not enough for you. Everyone would think so, your dad would think so and Ken definitely thinks so."
"I don't care what they think. You matter."
