I didn't tell Raiden that I'm taking birth control pills. He wouldn't like it. It was a strange weekend. He was constantly spending time with me, asking me questions about what I like, what I dislike. I can clearly see he's trying to change but I cannot bring myself to be entirely open. I cannot simply forget what I went through. I can't forget the abuse, the hitting, the threatening he did. All I'm doing now is just acting along, trying to be as credible as possible. For a psychopath, he seems to put a lot of effort in trying to get my attention in a healthier way.
It's Sunday and tomorrow I'll go back to school. I miss Sasuke so much. I couldn't talk to him the whole weekend to avoid being suspicious but I miss his voice. His arms around me. Will I ever be free from this miserable life?
My train of thoughts was completely interrupted by the knock of my door.
"Y-yes?" I said shyly.
The next thing I saw was a flower bouquet that was coming through the open door. Since when did he start to knock?!
"These are for you," Raiden said, passing over the flowers to me.
I carefully grabbed them, completely shocked by his gesture. Raiden Kimura, to bring me flowers?
"T-thank you," I replied, trying to put on a fake smile.
"You don't like them?" he asked with an expression that someone would say it's worrying.
"I like them. It's just... I'm a little surprised, that's all."
"Then, you'll be even more surprised when you'll see these tickets," he announced, showing two red and gold tickets.
"Concerto di Lusso?" I didn't know how to react when reading the title.
"Yes. This concert happens once every 7 years and all the cultural elite from Tokyo are going there. The location is splendid and highly exclusive."
He was quite enthusiastic about this concert. I never imagined Raiden was into cultural events like this. I guess this is a trait that many psychopaths have. They like fine things.
"I want you to accompany me," he said in a tone many would describe as demanding. "I don't think this is a good idea... Everyone knows I am your stepsister."
"Those people are from a different world. They are extremely rich and they do not waste time with this kind of topic. Once I introduce you as my girlfriend, they will not judge anything. In short, we don't need to fake our relationship," he smirked.
