Hinata Hyuuga appeared to be living the high school dream. She was a kind-hearted girl who had once dated the popular guy she'd always had a crush on, had good friends, and excelled in her studies. However, everything changed when her father introdu...

"I trusted you, and you were sleeping with him?!" Sakura snapped. "Don't say that, please, Sakura. You know that's not true," I begged her. "You have to listen to me!" "You're such a liar, Hinata! You're so full of shit!" Sakura shouted, slamming me against the wall. "I hate you!" she yelled, then rushed out of the girls' bathroom, leaving me behind.
"Sakura..." I mumbled, sliding down the bathroom wall until I hit the ground. I hugged my knees, sobbing.
But things weren't always like this... I used to be a normal teenage girl, full of hopes and dreams. I honestly believed that life was beautiful and worth living. But now... I've realized that life is just unfair.
ONE YEAR AGO
It was a beautiful spring day. On my way to the kitchen, I saw my little sister, Hanabi, making a simple breakfast. She was just boiling eggs and frying bacon. My father was at the table, sipping his morning coffee and reading the newspaper. He was always serious and cold toward me, and I never understood why.
After my mother died, he just shut down. No matter how hard I tried—getting the best grades, keeping the house clean, cooking when he was at work—he never seemed proud of me. Somehow, he was stricter with me than with my sister, but over time, I learned to accept him as he was. He was still my father, and my mother had taught me to respect him.
"Good morning," I said, kissing my sister's forehead. "Hmm, smells good." "Good morning! The eggs are almost done—we can eat together!" she said enthusiastically. "Oh, I'd love to, Hanabi, but Naruto is waiting for me outside. I'll skip breakfast today."
Hanabi's face dropped a little. Then I heard my father fold his newspaper and speak in his usual stern tone. "Hinata. Your sister wanted to surprise you this morning, and you're just going to ignore her?" "It's okay, Father," Hanabi said quickly, trying to calm him. "I don't mind. We can eat together tomorrow."
"Your sister must learn to be more grateful, Hanabi," he replied firmly.
He wasn't one to talk. He never acknowledged my efforts at school or in life. Even though I was only sixteen, I was responsible and mature. But he wouldn't say "please" or "thank you" or show any kind of gratitude. Still, he was my father, and I didn't want to argue or disrespect him. I didn't even have the courage to go against his word. So, I went outside to let Naruto know.
"I'm sorry, Naruto-kun. You can go without me today. I'll catch up with you at school." "How come?" "My sister made breakfast, and she'd be happy if we ate together. Hehe." "Ohhh, I see! Well, see you at school, Hina-chan!"
Naruto gave me a quick kiss and left for school. I went back inside and had breakfast with my family.
At school, Naruto was chatting with Shikamaru outside. The bell hadn't rung yet, so I went over to say hi.
