Hinata Hyuuga appeared to be living the high school dream. She was a kind-hearted girl who had once dated the popular guy she'd always had a crush on, had good friends, and excelled in her studies. However, everything changed when her father introdu...

"Because we are friends"
I was surprised by his answer. I didn't know what to say next. I found it hard to believe that Sasuke considers me a friend. What does a "friend" mean to him? I am by no means the same as his friends with whom he usually spends his time with...
After we entered I sat next to Tenten and Sasuke sat in his place next to Suigetsu. Sakura and Ino entered too and I cannot describe the cold gaze Sakura gave me. Her face was red as she stared at me. I looked away.
"What was that?" Tenten noticed the whole scene "Nothing new... She hates me" I replied "I hope you don't let her get to you. You are far more better than her"
Tenten tried to lift my mood but I had bigger problems than Sakura.
"I won't" I replied.

After Geography class ended Sasuke came close to my desk with one hand in his pocket and the other one was busy holding his schoolbag.
"You ready?" he asked "Yes" I answered "Ready for what?" Tenten asked dumbfounded. "Um... me and Sasuke have something planned for today" I answered but Tenten was stunned "Can I speak with you for a moment Hinata? Alone" she said and pulled me aside where Sasuke couldn't hear. "What are you doing hanging out with this guy?" she asked somehow annoyed
"Don't worry Tenten. He's okay now. We are just friends" "Just friends?" she quoted, "did you forget we are talking about the guy that lied about you in the whole school??" "That is in the past, we're good now. Really. Don't worry about me. I will be okay!" "Is him I don't trust..." Tenten looked at Sasuke suspiciously and then sighed. "Hinata, I swear... you're too good sometimes. If he bothers you just tell me ok?" "Okay" I smiled hugging her tight. "See you tomorrow"
I headed back to Sasuke and we both exit the school class and went down the hallway.
"She doesn't like me at all does she?" Sasuke asked smirking "She is just overprotective" "Unlike someone else" he said and stopped smiling "What do you mean?" "Sakura. Wasn't she your friend?" "She was..." I murmured, "but not anymore...." "You were very protective last year" "That was because you treated her bad" "I treated her just as she deserved" he replied nonchalantly.
I didn't like the conversation at all. I remembered how hurt Sakura was because of him.
"You cannot treat people bad just because you think they deserve it. You don't know what they are going through or what made them that way. Don't act like you know everyone because you don't" I replied with a cold tone that made Sasuke look at me with a surprised face. He didn't answer back.
When we arrived at his car Sasuke stepped in front of me with a serious expression. I looked at him surprised.
"Why do you still care about the people who hurt you?" he bluntly asked "What do you mean?" "Sakura. She was a jerk, didn't even try to help you when Tayuya bullied you but you still take her part when I say something about her. That Naruto guy told everyone that you cheated on him just so he can come out clean, and he made you carry a reputation of a cheater and god forbid if I say something bad about him. I also treated you bad at first because I thought you're fake and stuff, I lied that I slept with you but here you are, going to watch a movie with me. Why? Why are you so..."
