A fuming Rebecca Aladori was actually Juliette's worst nightmare, that was what she was learning, and maybe fuming was even the wrong word, but she just had a dark energy around her today... Terrifying even... And she was walking paces behind Juliette, enough that she felt like she had some kind of shadow which was not helping... She had to fix that shit fast.
She turned, clearing her throat so that Becky could for sure hear and see her speaking, so that she could pull Becky out of wherever she was trapped in her own brain, thinking of thoughts that probably involved a goddamn machete or some shit, because she looked like she was ready to kill.
"Why are you following me like a guard dog, Becks? You can walk next to me." She said, and Becky blinked, jogging a bit to catch up with her before she cleared her throat, giving Juliette an apologetic smile... Clearly she had a lot on her mind, but Juliette wasn't sure what exactly was circling around up there, and she didn't want Becky to get lost in whatever she was contemplating, that would suck.
"Sorry, just lost in my thoughts." Well, look at that. Already lost.
What a shame. But... She didn't look lost when she faced forward again, no... She looked angry.
Rebecca Aladori looked angry, which seemed like a reason to sound some kind of alarm because she couldn't remember the last time that she had seen actual anger on her face, it was a little terrifying, mostly because she didn't know what Becky did when she was angry, and she didn't know how to help.
"Okay, you look homicidal... Which is terrifying considering how little I see you angry, what's going on, babes?" She asked, hoping that talking about it might make the look fade away. Becky sighed, working her jaw as she shook her head...
Talking wasn't looking promising, and Juliette really wasn't sure what the next course of action was supposed to fucking be from here - talking wasn't even something that she knew for sure she was supposed to be doing right now, all she knew was that Becky was a little terrifying when she was silent.
"Just thinking about all the many ways I can crush Ethan's trachea if he tries anything today, nothing too serious." She said, making Juliette choke on air as she looked over at her, shaking her head... God, she looked half serious, that was more than a little bit concerning, she couldn't let Becky go to jail just because the men in their town sucked at knowing what a fucking boundary was, that wasn't allowed.
"Contemplating murder on my behalf is very serious, and as much as I would love to simply have him no longer exist, you're not doing that." She said firmly, hoping that her tone read... But she actually doubted that it would do much to deter Becky because she looked very serious about wanting this man dead, which was more than a little bit concerning.
He hadn't even really done that much yet... Sure, he was a fucking creep, but there was nothing anyone could do to make it better right now, it sucked but that was the truth of it.
"Why not?" Seriously?
Because there was no way in fucking hell that she was going to let Becky go to jail over this, she had too much going for her, and Juliette did not want to be the reason that that all fell apart.
"Because you have a very bright future in front of you, and I won't have it ruined just because a man can't keep his hands off me, that's not something you have to worry about." She said, and Becky rolled her eyes, giving her a look like she was being ridiculous, which she wasn't - all she was trying to do was make sure that Becky had a life that wasn't spent behind bars because some fucking man didn't know how to keep his hands to himself.
