If there was one thing that Juliette always was at this point, it was exhausted, and she wasn't even sure why - theater was a lot less demanding than cheer had ever been, but she found herself constantly moments from falling asleep... This was no different, which sucked because Emma had invited everyone over and she wanted to be social.
But the sleepiness was winning.
"I'm so tired." She sighed, tucking her face against Esme's neck as she inhaled their scent... Sometimes she thought about how it would feel to have Esme sniff her neck as often as she did to them, and she hated it.
Would that stop her?
No. They had to stop smelling so good, that would stop the smelling... Plus, they didn't seem to mind.
"I know, baby." They leaned over, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Me too." Juliette pulled back, resting her head against them instead... That seemed less weird, right? And she was nothing if not someone who attempted to be normal.
"It doesn't help that Emma's couch is so comfortable." She said, wanting to forget her thoughts about sniffing people and if it was socially acceptable or not... It had to be with Esme, right? Like, she wouldn't do it with a stranger, but Esme was a special case.
"No it does not." They looked at her, a gentle smile across their face, one that made her heart leap in her chest. "You're comfortable too." Ugh, their smile...
"God, you're cute." She sighed, leaning in to press a lingering kiss to their lips, feeling their thumb tracing over the sliver of skin that was showing on her lower back. She sighed, resting her hand against their cheek.
God, they were so fucking perfect.
"And how are my favorite lovebirds today?" Juliette jumped, feeling her heart in her throat even though she recognized Penny's smooth voice. Esme did the same, tensing up a bit against her before they pulled away.
Greet her.
"Penny, hey." She said, taking her in... She looked good today, in her normal goth attire but with something more, something different... Ah! She'd gotten a new piercing right in in the middle of of her lower lip... Which had to feel good... No. No, don't be gay. C'mon, don't be gay.
Penny smiled, tucking her hands behind her back as she looked at both of them with a sigh.
"You two always look so fucking good together, do you know that?" Penny asked, and Juliette smiled, tucking her head against Esme's shoulder as she did. She liked hearing that they looked good together because she thought so too, but she wanted the entire world to agree with her.
Esme was gorgeous, and she liked thinking that the world went around seeing the beauty of the two of them together.
"Well I'm sure that you have, but I love hearing it again." She said, and Penny chuckled, slipping down onto the seat at the other end of the couch, splaying her arms out across the back as she folded one leg over the other.
Juliette let her gaze wander for a moment to Penny's waist, to the way that her stomach folded and the crease of her thighs in her jeans before she shook her head, clearing her throat... Don't look you freak.
She glanced over to see Esme staring just as hard.
Okay, maybe you're not a freak. Maybe you're just really gay.
"You two do." Penny leaned forward then, resting her forearms on her thighs as she looked over at them. Juliette let her gaze drop to Penny's chest for a moment, feeling her face get hot... God, having friends this hot was not for the faint of heart. "Like, that should be expected considering how hot the two of you are apart, but it's just a whole other level when the two of you are together." She said, and Juliette opened her mouth to speak before closing it again, unable to figure out what she was supposed to say... Luckily, Esme took over for her, leaning forward with a grin.
