Waking up in Esme's t-shirt was never not one of the best feelings in the entire world, second only to waking up in their arms... Which she should've been doing, there was no reason why Esme wasn't lying beside her right now. Juliette opened one eye, frowning as she felt the spot next to her, which had the blankets thrown back and was a little cold... Esme had been up for a moment, that was for sure.
She heard clattering in the kitchen following by them swearing loudly. She chuckled, swinging her legs over the side of the bed before she stretched, feeling the pleasant burn in her back as she looked at the door... Might as well go out there and see what all the commotion was, right?
She stood up, lumbering towards the kitchen with a yawn before she leaned in the doorway, crossing her arms across her chest as she watched Esme frantically cooking, seeming like she was half asleep... And like shit was half burnt.
"Need some help there, handsome?" She called, and Esme jumped, turning around with wide eyes as they placed a hand over their heart, letting out a sigh of relief... Who else would she be coming from their bedroom? A robber wasn't gonna fuck around with the windows, they'd probably go for the door, and Gianna was at work.
It had to be her.
"God, you startled me." They breathed, and Juliette chuckled, raising an eyebrow as she stepped further into the kitchen... She wasn't sure what was startling about what she did, but that hadn't been her intent. She'd just wanted to admire the person that she loved and to find them after they'd left her all alone in the bed... It was an evil thing to do, she had now earned the right to simply stare like a little freak to her heart's content.
"I apologize for... Leaving our bedroom?" She asked, and Esme sighed, washing their hands in the sink before they leaned against the counter, clearly trying to look unbothered even though Juliette had seen them all but shit their pants out of fear a second ago.
She understood that though, she got jump sometimes too - after the things that they'd both been through, they sort of deserved the right to be a little startled sometimes without being judged in any way.
"When I left you were very much asleep, my bad... Didn't... Realize you were up." They busied themself again with cleaning things up instead, tossing out the burnt breakfast with a defeated demeanor before they hung their head over the sink, seeming to lament their very existence. "I was gonna bring you breakfast in bed." Oh... God, that warmed her heart, there was just something so beautifully thoughtful about the way that Esme loved her, it was too sweet for her to ever deserve.
She couldn't fight her smile as she rocked back on her heels.
"What's the occasion?" She asked, and Esme shrugged, scrubbing the pan for a bit before they lifted their head and turned around to look at her, a grin on their face as they took in her frame, taking extra time on her hips, her thighs, and the swell of her breasts... She shivered.
If anyone who wasn't them had done that, she would've probably smacked them in the face, it would've made her uncomfortable, but all she could think of with Esme was how she wanted them to stare at her more, how she needed them to stare at her constantly like that.
She never wanted them to look away.
"You just... Looked like you deserved it. You... You're too cute when you're sleeping, I wanted to do something for you." They said, and Juliette grinned, biting her lip as she took them in, watching them push their messy hair out of their face, still unbrushed from sleep... Something about the way that the sun filtered in around them made her simply believe that if angels were real like she'd always believe, they had to look something like Esme Panchek, there was just no contest... It was them or it was nobody, who else could possibly be their likeness? God made everyone in Esme's image, that was what it should be.
