"Is Elena your girlfriend? You can tell me, I won't tell anyone." Starlie asks again as we're walking through my front door.
"No, Star, for the millionth time, Elena and I aren't dating."
"But you like her." she smiles at me.
What a little devil.
"I never said that."
"You didn't have to. I can see it."
"What exactly can you see, smarty pants?"
"I can see how happy you look when you talk to Elena. You're normally just grumpy back home. I can see you like spending time with her."
"I'm not always grumpy, I'm never grumpy when I'm with you."
"That's because I'm amazing. Also, you know what I mean. You're grumpy with everyone else."
"Whatever, I've already told you that Lena and me are just friends."
"Yeah, right. You think you can lie to me just because I'm 8? Just so you know, my teacher says I'm very smart for my age! I understand things."
"Hm, things, I can see that. Now, what if we stop this talk and go eat? I'm starving."
"Fine." she rolls her eyes at me.
"Don't roll your eyes at me." I warn, tickling her until she's laughing so hard she's asking me to stop.
I love Starlie more than anything in the world. I would literally die for her without having to even think twice about it.
Spending this week with my baby sister is exactly what I needed right now, she always makes me feel better.

Oliver texted me to ask me if I could pick him up for practice. Something about Gigi needing his car for whatever reason.
Since I couldn't find anyone to stay with Starlie, she's coming with us and sitting on the bench. I didn't have many options.
I call him but he doesn't pick up so I end up having to go to his door.
Isa is the one opening the door.
"Hi, what are you doing here?" Isa asked.
"Hey Isa, nice to see you too. I'm here to pick Oliver up."
"Oh, okay. He's in the living room, let me go tell him you're here."
"Okay, thanks."
She leaves and heads to the living room.
"Isa, who's-" Elena stops as she notices me at the door. "Oh, hi Sage! Missing me already?"
