Throughout the movie, Benji refills his cup with orange soda. He lowers his feet on the floor when he feels something sharp pricking his toes.
Benji raises his feet off the floor to see cracked popcorn pieces. A puzzled look remains on his face until Benji sees Casper unwittingly spilling his snacks on the floor. Looking at the mess, Benji wants to say something to Casper when Soleil nudges his shoulder with her elbow.
"Calm down, Ben," she reassures him. "We'll clean up after the movie, head off to bed, and continue our day as usual."
Benji sighs until Casper groans, "Get a room, will you? I'm eating over here!"
Examining the kernels and greasy popcorn on the floor, Benji grunts, "Yeah, you're eating up a storm, alright."
On top of the couch's arm, Benji takes the bowl off the table and eats the popcorn. Salt and butter paint his dry tongue. He drinks one round of Pepsi and focuses on the movie while Soleil and Casper eat their popcorn silently.
Placing her bowl on her lap, Soleil chews until a painful sensation stabs her back molars. The witch curses under her breath. She flinches briefly, puts her pinkie into her mouth, and scratches the kernel until it emerges under her fingernail. After quietly disposing of it with a paper towel beside the box of chocolate cookies, Soleil takes one last can of Surge and pulls the pin.
As Casper empties his popcorn bowl, he consumes Fruit Gushers, colorful M&Ms, and Snackwell cookies until his stomach aches.
Benji looks up from his red bowl. "Cass, is everything alright -"
"Shush!" Casper cries, trembling in his seat. "It's Candyman!"
Benji turns his head to the screen, which shows a blond woman in a lacy white bra and a man named Billy chanting Candyman's name five times in the bathroom mirror.
Soleil looks disinterested. She sets her popcorn bowl on the floor and drains her soda can.
Meanwhile, Casper rocks anxiously in his seat. He watches the woman quickly turn the lights off and tense as the Candyman automatically appears behind her.
Blood gushes down from the ceiling, followed by a horrified scream.
"MOTHERFUCKER!" Casper shrieks, prompting Benji to flinch.
The half-demon almost drops his popcorn bowl when Soleil stops it with her mind. She then looks at the table, positions the bowl beside the half-empty bag, and begs Casper to calm down.
Casper refuses. His frantic feet tap anxiously on the floor, annoying the crap out of Benji. Still, the half-demon slides his greasy hand into Casper's and squeezes it tight until the shapeshifter stops fidgeting.
As the roommates watch the movie, the atmosphere is cold. A black aura surrounds the three roommates, but the glowing television perched on the plywood table is their only light.
