As the Rougarou dismembers police officers left and right, Cricket and Soleil fight the beast with any weapon they can find — from guns to delivering brutal kicks between the demonic dog's crotch.

Cricket winces in pain as she glances down at her pants, noticing blood oozing from scratches on her legs. Initially, she attempts to calm herself, but her composure shatters when she spots the bruise on Soleil's face.

In a surge of adrenaline, Cricket stomped her foot and propelled herself off the ground, quickly punching the werewolf's face. The creature was sent flying over the empty desks just as Soleil intervened, unleashing a torrent of green flames from her hands.

The monstrous being instinctively raised its thick, furry arms in a desperate attempt to shield itself from the searing heat enveloping it. In an explosive display of magical prowess, Soleil summoned her energy to lift the beast into the air.

With a powerful motion, she slammed it brutally against the ceiling before crashing it against the walls with such force that the impact reverberated throughout the room.

The impact sends debris flying; pipes and chunks of asphalt rain down from above, collapsing onto the monster and burying it beneath a heavy layer of rubble. Amidst this chaos, Cricket lands on the floor with a thud, gasping for breath as she assesses her fresh wounds, cursing at their painful sting.

After a long pause filled with tension, Soleil grunts in frustration, "What is happening here? Why are these monsters following us?" Her voice echoes slightly in the now quiet police station, laden with concern and confusion.

"I wish I knew," Cricket replies between labored breaths, her eyes darting around as if searching for answers hidden in the shadows.

"Judging by the trackers we found earlier and that strange connection between Salty Joe's diner and Ludwig's Toy Factory, I'm starting to wonder if Jordan, Michael, and Lucas are the first people who went missing in Louisiana."

Soleil's frown deepens. She is about to ask Cricket something when the dog monster squirms out of the rubble. Blood and white plaster trickle down its scaly skin as the Rougarou extends its massive claws and motions toward the girls.

Panicking, Cricket and Soleil waste their breaths maneuvering around the dog demon's massive claws, then fight back as hard as they can, but like Godzilla, it absorbs every single blow.

Cricket's fist almost slams into the monstrous creature's face, but the beast swings its tail across her face and then seizes Soleil's throat.

Caught off guard, Soleil trembles as cold, scaly tendrils wrap around her throat, constricting her breath and sending shivers down her spine. The sensation is jarring; it's as if ice has replaced the warmth of life itself.

She struggles to free herself from the monster's grip, her heart racing in a frantic rhythm that echoes in her ears. In the chaos of her desperate movements, Soleil's sunglasses slip from her face and crash to the floor, shattering into pieces that scatter like shards of her fleeting hope.
