...
Knock knock.
"Y/n," a voice from outside called out. I set my dinner down on the table and went to open the door. In front of me stood Nanami in his usual clothes.
"Nanami?" I asked, confused as to why he was there.
"Your presence has been requested, please come with me," Nanami said with a straight face.
"Oh, okay, give me a second," I quickly ran back into my room to grab my katana and phone, "what's the situation?"
"Ijichi will explain once we arrive," Nanami said as I followed him down the halls. We were both joined by Megumi and another guy with whom I wasn't familiar.
"Hey Megumi," I greeted. I looked over to the other guy and extended my hand out.
"I'm Y/n L/n, call me Y/n," I said.
"Takuma Ino, nice to meet you," Ino replied with a wide smile.
...
Once we arrived, we went up onto a bridge.
"We have noticed a veil around Shibuya station, it's a veil that traps only regular people inside, regular people can enter inside, it varies for windows," Ijichi explained as we gathered around.
"Sorcerers and assistant supervisors are able to come and go," Ijichi continued.
"What about the signals?" I asked.
"It's blocked," Ijichi replied, "please use assistant supervisors like us or exit the veil to communicate."
"Fushiguro, Fushiguro," Ino whispered beside me, "did you know that when adding effects to the barrier of a veil, you can basically only apply them to things with cursed energy? That's roughly people, cursed spirits, and cursed objects. So blocking cell phone signals is just a side effect of a veil being lowered."
Ino looked so proud. Megumi responded with a simple, "Oh yes, I knew that."
I mentally facepalmed.
"Ino-kun, he's a talented man, keep the senior act in check," Nanami said.
"What do you mean, Nanami-san?!" Ino yelled.
"So umm...where's Gojo?" I asked.
"Gojo has been sent to go inside the veil," Ijichi replied.
"Alone?" I questioned. Ijichi nodded. I panicked a little, but he's Gojo Satoru, the strongest, so he will be fine. Right? I shook my head. "Why is Gojo doing this alone?"
I was almost certain that Gojo would be able to handle this alone but I didn't want to risk it. I started to make my way down the stairs of the bridge.
"Where are you going L/n?" Nanami asked.
"I'm not letting Gojo do this alone," I said. Before they could respond to me, I sprinted off into the direction of the veil. I could hear one of them shouting 'wait' in the distance but I was already gone.
I jumped down the flights of stairs in the subway station. Gojo was probably down there somewhere. I could sense curses lingering around this place. I unsheathed my katana and got into a ready position. There was a curse somewhere but I couldn't see it. Probably an invisible one.
"Wind breathing Third Form: Clear Storm Wind Tree." Got it. A small curse appeared in front of me, its body splitting in half. I slashed my katana through it and it disappeared into ashes. That was a small curse. I continued forward and noticed some bodies lying on the ground. There must have been another curse somewhere around here.
For some reason, as I walked forward, I could hear some distant noises of people fighting.
"Time to go fist-to-fist."
A curse that could talk? I turned a corner to see a green curse throwing punches at Yuji, which he blocked off perfectly.
"Wind Breathing Sixth Form: Black Wind Mountain Mist." A slash was sent towards the curse's arms which cut it off from punching Yuji. Yuji also managed to land a few punches at the curse while it was still shocked at the sudden loss of his arms.
"Y/n!" Yuji turned to look at me with a wide grin.
"Focus, Yuji," I reminded him, he nodded and turned his attention back to the curse.
I decided to let Yuji handle the curse and scouted the area to see if there were anymore curses. I turned a few corners and it seemed as though this floor was clear. I rounded the corner back to where Yuji had been fighting the curse. It appeared that Yuji had finished their fight.
"Good work, this floor is clear, but why are you here alone?" I asked.
"To help Gojo-sensei, of course!"
I hummed, "well then, where are you heading? I'm heading down."
"Me too, let's go together," Yuji suggested as we walked towards the stairs. I nodded in response.
