A black shadow was cast over everyone. We were inside Gojo's domain. I tried to turn around but my body didn't seem to move. Must be Gojo's technique.
After my body came back to its senses, all the curses had been killed and only a few people were left standing. I noticed Gojo was standing beside me, breathing loudly.
I opened my mouth, preparing to say something but a voice cut me off.
"Prison Realm, Gate Open."
A cube on the ground expanded with an eye in the middle. I cringed at its look.
"Satoru."
That voice.
"Y/n."
Geto.
"Long time no see," he waved at us.
I stood there in shock as I processed the man standing in front of me. It was Geto. Only, he had a stitch across his forehead. No, this wasn't Geto.
"You're not Geto," I said running towards him, he held up a hand, signalling me to stop. I heard Gojo grunt behind me and stopped running. I turned around to see Gojo trapped inside the cube.
"You shouldn't lose yourself in thought amid a battle, Satoru," Geto said.
"Gojo!" I tried making my way towards him but Gojo interrupted me, "Don't."
"So, who the hell are you?" Gojo asked.
"Don't you remember me? How sad..." Geto said with a smile.
"Everything is telling me that you're Suguru Geto, but, my soul is rejecting all that! Now answer me, who the hell are you?!" Gojo screamed.
"Creepy," Geto said, pulling a string on his head, he removed the top and inside was his brain with a mouth. I almost threw up at the sight. He smiled creepily, "How could you tell?"
"You needn't worry about your release, I'll release you in a hundred...no, a thousand years from now?" Geto asked. I shook my head. Geto continued, "You're just too strong. And you're in the way of my plans."
I looked over at Gojo as Geto continued talking. I caught his eyes and he made a subtle move of his head, telling me to run. My eyes searched for the exit and I took one last glance at Gojo and Geto before I sprinted. I'll come back for you, Satoru.
"Y/n," I heard Geto's voice call out behind me but I ignored it and sprinted out as fast as I could.
I took my phone out and dialled Megumi's number. It rang for a few seconds before showing that there was no signal. I sighed and put my phone back into my pocket. They must have just arrived not long ago, which means they're somewhere outside on the surface. I took the closest exit up and ran forward, exiting the veil.
Just my luck. I saw a few people standing in the distance outside a hotel. I ran towards them, I noticed Megumi at the back.
"Megumi!" I shouted. The group stopped and turned towards me.
"L/n?" he asked, confused as to why I was running towards them.
"Gojo's been sealed," I said. I saw them visibly tense up.
But before they could say anything else, a voice cut through the air, "Nanamin!"
I turned around, "NANAMIN! ARE YOU HERE?!"
"Itadori?" Megumi asked.
"N-nanamin?" Ino said. I snickered at the nickname.
"Gojo-sensei! Has been sealed!" Yuji exclaimed.
"Yeah..." I said lowly.
"Sealed?"
"It's true, I saw it all," I said.
"You two, change of plans, we meet up with Itadori-kun at once, if it's true he's been sealed, then it's over, for every human in this country," Nanami said, "Are you coming, L/n?"
I nodded and followed them.
...
"Na-na-min!" Yuji had been calling out for Nanami nonstop. I mentally facepalmed as we arrived on top of the building behind Yuji. He was still calling out for him.
"Hey," I said to Yuji.
"Na-na-na-na-na-namin!" Yuji continued shouting.
Megumi slammed a hand on his head.
"Oh! Fushiguro! Nanami! L/n! And...who?" Yuji exclaimed.
We got down the building and Yuji showed us a device he had. It began explaining the curse and Geto. I zoned out slumping down on the ground, trying to think of anything we could do right now.
"There are several requests only a first-grade can fulfill, I'll step outside and take care of all those with Ijichi-kun. During that time, I want you guys to do something about the veil keeping sorcerers out," Nanami said.
"Several requests? I can help," I said standing up and following Nanami.
"No, keep an eye on them," Nanami said.
I slumped back down the wall. Nanami exchanged a few words with Ino before leaving.
"You three!" Ino suddenly shouted, "Before we start the mission, let me make it clear how important this is. The two main issues with losing Gojo-san, first the collapse of the Gojo clan. There are also lots of sorcerers who have been saved throughout heaven and Earth, I alone am the honoured one due to Gojo-san's influence, pride, and whims."
"Itadori, you're one of the sorcerers, right?" Ino asked.
"Yeah!" Yuji said.
"So casual about it!" Ino pointed a finger at him. I deadpanned. What point is he trying to make?
"All of those people are going to find themselves in trouble, and worst case, eliminated! That brings us to issue two: the collapse of the power balance. All of the cursed spirits and curse users who've been keeping quiet because Satoru Gojo was around will start taking action all at once. "
I nodded. That makes sense.
"Now, if those guys from issue two try starting a war, while society's in disarray from fighting over issue one, we'll lose," Ino continued, "That's the future as Nanami-san and I see it. So what do you think happens if we lose?"
"At the very least, it's over for humans in Japan," Megumi said.
"See you get it!" Ino said.
"Okay, let's go now," I interrupted.
"Right! We'll break the veil before Nanami-san gets back! Let's rescue Satoru Gojo!" Ino yelled, clapping his hands together.
