We were able to meet up with Maki and she was informing us on the situation, "According to Itadori's brother, Kenjaku took Tengen."
"Tsukumo is the same rank as Yuta, yet she lost despite working with a death painting womb and Tengen. At least the back of the prism realm is safe," Maki said calmly, which surprised me. She had changed in such short time.
"So why hasn't the merger started?" Yuji asked.
"I don't know why. Maybe Kenjaku can't start it yet or maybe he just doesn't feel like it," Megumi said.
"There's no way to know, so Tsumiki comes first," I said.
"Well to start with rule 1, culling game players are subject to cursed technique removal if their points don't change for 19 days," Megumi said and then Yuji added, "We wanted to add a rule for point transfer so players could change their scores without killing."
"And you already did that," Maki said.
"Not me, Higuruma," Yuji corrected.
"The problem is 2 and 3, moving and communicating across colony borders," Maki said.
"What's the problem?" I asked.
"Players can't move in and out of the colonies," Maki answered.
"I can," Kurusu raised her hand.
"And why is that?" Maki asked.
"I have the Angel cursed technique," she responded.
"Which leaves 4, we must prioritize players leaving the game," Maki said.
"Kogane, add a rule allowing players to leave the culling game," Megumi called out.
"Denied. That conflicts with rule 7," Kogane said.
"Well we expected that, what about a rule allowing players to leave if they invite a new player into the colony as a substitute?" Megumi asked.
"Denied."
"Then how can anyone leave the game?!" Yuji asked.
"The culling game has a suggestion," Kogane said.
"A player could leave the game by using 100 points to invite a new player into the colony as a substitute. Then approval is possible." Kogane said.
"So there's no problem!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, we've got 400 points, moron!" Yuji shouted, raising his arm, pointing at the Kogane.
"No, wait!!" Megumi grabbed Yuji's arm, "A substitute wouldn't. change the number of players but it'd require the deaths of at least 20 players for 100 points!! Wouldn't that break rule 7 about long-lasting effects?!"
"Riiight..." Yuji agreed.
"A player could leave the game by using 100 points to invite a new player into the colony as a substitute. Then approval is possible." Kogane said again.
"It's done negotiating," I said.
"Understood, that's enough," Megumi said.
"A player has added a rule to the culling game! Rule 11. A player can leave the game by using 100 points to invite a new player into the colony as a substitute!"
Megumi turned to look at me and Maki, "Maki or L/n, bring Tsumiki to this colony."
"Hm?!" Yuji thought out loud.
"What's wrong?" Megumi asked.
"Tsumiki's a player but she's outside the colonies? Isn't it safer to send her points from a distance?" Yuji asked.
"No that would break rules 1 and 2," Megumi said.
"Right, but we both can't come with her," I said, "We don't have cursed energy, so the barrier doesn't recognize us. We'd get separated upon entry, just like when we entered."
"Right," Maki agreed.
"Yuji and I were also separated, even with cursed energy," Megumi said.
"Okay, I'll go," Maki said, she looked at me, "stay here with them."
---
"I haven't seen Tsumiki in so long," I mumbled, folding my arms and glancing at the sky.
Yuji looked at me for a moment before speaking. "You've met her before?"
"Yeah!" I said, perking up. "Back when Gojo took Megumi in. I used to help look after them sometimes."
I reached over and ruffled Megumi's hair with a grin. He made a grumpy face, "...Stop that."
"Whoops!"
We all turned to see Tsumiki landing behind us.
"Huh? She just walked right in!" Yuji said, surprised.
"Hi, Megumi." Tsumiki smiled gently, waving. Then her gaze moved to me. "Oh, hi Y/n!"
I smiled back. "Hey."
"You've got good luck, Tsumiki!" Yuji said.
Tsumiki bowed politely. "Pleased to meet you!"
Yuji did the same, "Same here! I'm Itadori."
He then pointed up toward the air, where Kurusu floating. "And that's Kurusu!"
"Let's do this fast... Kogane," Megumi said.
Kurusu came to stand beside me. I leaned towards her and whispered, "Notice how he acts different around family."
Kurusu let out a laugh, "How cute!"
Megumi turned to glance at us with that deadpan stare. We both immediately straightened up and I smiled, "What?"
Kurusu shrugged, "Nothing~"
"We gave you 100 points so you can leave the game. Maki told you abobut the substitute right?" Megumi asked.
"Kogane...add a rule allowing entry and exit across colony borders," Tsumiki said.
?
"Huh?" We all turned.
Tsumiki smiled.
"Who are you?!"
