I stayed with Megumi as he was still injured, the fight seemed to have finished. We were now trying to find Yuji and the others, however, there was no sight of them. 

"Do you sense something strange?" Megumi asks. I stop in my tracks to focus. There was certainly something with a strong curse energy coming from the other side of the buildings.

"Yeah, I think it's that way," I pointed toward the buildings on our left. I walked towards there and signalled Megumi to follow. As we got closer, the curse energy felt somewhat familiar. 

We arrive at the front of the buildings and stood near the railing. Below I could spot out three figures fighting, it seemed like it was Yuji, a curse, and a guy. 

"Look! Yuji's there," I said, "I'm going to go help him, stay here."

"No wait," Megumi said, pointing to another figure that had just appeared. The fight seemed to stop. 

"Who's that?" Megumi asked. I cursed my bad eyesight and squinted my eyes. Huh?! He looks familiar!

"That katana!" I said. 

Megumi looked at me confused, "what?"

It was Yuta. However, he seemed to be attacking Yuji. I looked over to Megumi and swung his arms over my shoulders, "hold on."

I stood on the edge of the railings and jumped off, towards Yuji and Yuta. I landed right between them, with Megumi still holding onto me, I unsheathed my katana just in time to block Yuta's attack aimed at Yuji, but he immediately dodged and aimed for Yuji again. 

"Shit," I muttered. 

I turned around just to see his katana straight through Yuji's stomach.

"Yuta!" I exclaimed. 

"H-huh?! Sensei!" Yuta exclaimed, shocked. 

I let go of Megumi and ran towards Yuji, "what are you doing?!"

"W-wait! I can explain!" Yuta tried to explain immediately about his plan of staging Yuji's death, "Um stay here I'll be back."

He then dragged Yuji off towards where the other two had been fighting. Megumi had been standing silently a bit further away. Moving a few rocks and bricks to stack them up, I sat down  on it. 

Yuta soon came running back, dragging Yuji behind him.

"Let me help," I said, kneeling down beside Yuji to use the reverse curse technique on Yuji. 

...

Yuji suddenly shot up from the ground, wide awake. I immediately stood up to go check on him, "how are you feeling?"

"Huh? I'm-"

"What a relief!" Yuta exclaimed.

Yuji looked as confused as ever so Yuta began explaining, "I think it was around September, Gojo sensei came to see me. He asked me to watch over you so I had to put on this act."

"Act?" Yuji asked. 

"Yeah," then Yuta proceeded to explain all the details. I looked towards the spot Megumi was in, but he wasn't there anymore. I looked around the area but I didn't spot him. I was about to declare we go find Megumi when he appeared out of nowhere. 

"Let's head back to Jujutsu High," Megumi said, walking towards us, more towards Yuji though, "Fushiguro."

"The barrier around the school is loosening as long as no one directly sees your face, it should be no problem for you to go back. We'll rejoin the older students and-"

"Stop! Don't act like nothing happened! Don't act like everything is back to normal," Yuji interrupted, he started screaming, "I killed people! Because of me lots of people died!"

I sighed and was about to say something comforting for Yuji but Megumi spoke first, "Don't be selfish and give up alone. We aren't heroes fighting for justice. We're jujutsu sorcerers...

"We must continue to prove the worth of our existence and we don't have the luxury of thinking about ourselves," Megumi continued. 

"Megumi's right, we have to save people," I said, "I believe that's what you told Yaga when you joined, isn't it?"
