It had been a few months since Winston helped his mother to deliver his baby sister into the world, Winston was just fifteen when his dad was murdered by the Killer Queen, which he holds the greatest resentment towards for the death of his father. Although Tommy was murdered military style, Winston could not understand why his dad would help the family who never stood by him, he often vented his anger and hurt to his mother who just comforted him as she knew how close Winston was to his dad.

To Winston, his dad was his hero, Winston looked up to his dad and always admired him. Now he was lost without his dad and was hurting, Winston's friends Samuel and Rupert stayed with him through the transition and often hated it whenever anyone spoke rudely about him.

However, a couple of days later, Winston is with his Samuel and Rupert when Agent Shooter arrived to speak with him; "Winston Lynley?" He asked as Sam and Rupert looked at him, they could tell that he is an Agent, and they take an immediate dislike to him. "That is me." Winston answered sounding very much like his father.

"I am Agent Shooter, and I was wondering if I could talk to you in private."

"No." Winston replied sharply. The Agent looked angry; "This is a private matter, Winston."

Winston got angry; "It is Mr. Lynley to you. Winston is for my friends and family only. Now what do you want"

"I am here about your father, Tommy."

"My father is dead because of you."

"I did not kill your father, that was the Killer Queen, not me."

"It does not matter if you pulled the trigger that paralyzed my father or dousing him in flammable while he was still alive, was you or not. To me, you are responsible for my father's death because you could not keep your mouth shut, and now my father is dead because of you." Winston stated to the agent as his friends stayed with him. While they could not relate to Winston's pain, they could understand his pain because they knew how close their friend was to his dad.

Barbara had turned up with her daughter Raven, who is now four months old, she had heard her son's words against the agent, but she did not stop her son from speaking his mind. Instead, she listened to the conversation; "Like I said Winston, I am not your father's killer." The agent shouted at the teen as his friends got ready to hold him back.

"I said it is Mr. Lynley to you, and I do not care if you murdered my father or not, I blame you for my father's death. I do hold resentment to the Killer Queen, but you, I do blame you and I will always hate you for it." Winston replied before turning around to walk away, but Agent Shooter was not finished yet. "And I bet that your father is glad that he is dead, so he does not have to see what a disappointment you really are."

These words hit Winston hard as he turned around, and he grabbed the agent by his blazer and shirt, pinning him against the wall as Sam and Rupert tried to get their friend off him. Winston was angry and his eyes turned red with fury and anger which he directed at the agent; "Don't you ever claim to know my father, because he loved me more than anything and he was always there to support me and my goals, and he would still be here if you had not opened your mouth and had my father killed. If you ever come near me or my mother again, I will beat you to the brink of death, do you hear me?"

With that Sam and Rupert had managed to get him off the agent with Barbara calming her son down, Raven was crying so Sam picked her up to calm her also which helped to sooth, and she stayed in Sam's arms; "You all heard that, he had threatened me." The Agent said while straightening his shirt and blazer. "And we will all swear in court that you provoked him." Rupert responded as he stood next to Barbara.

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Oh, we would." Sam chimed in as Raven rested her head on his shoulder as he joined the others, Winston took sister from Sam and held her as she smiled at him; "I would even testify that you started it by claiming that Inspector Lynley is glad that he is dead because then he would not have to deal with his son being a disappointment."

"And Winston is not a disappointment to me or his father, I swear Shooter, that if you come near any of us then I will get a restraining order against you for all our safety." Barbara stated showing how willing she is to protect her son and his friends as well as herself and Raven. Agent Shooter left with the tail between his legs, as they left the school and went to a cafe as Sam and Rupert informed their parents where they were, as their separate parents could pick them up from the cafe.

Once Sam and Rupert had been picked up by their separate parents, Barbara, and her son Winston headed home with Raven, and they decided to settle in for the evening. Soon, Barbara asked her son about his sixteenth birthday; "Hey, do you have any plans for your sixteenth birthday?" Winston sighed heavily; his face displayed both hurt and anguish over his upcoming birthday and tears formed in his eyes. "No, because I miss dad, and the thought of him not being here to celebrate that milestone. I just. I just do not think it would be right without him."

Barbara wrapped her arms around her son; "I know baby, I know." After this comforting moment, she had decided not to raise the subject again with Winston, as it was clear that it was a huge thing for her son to celebrate this milestone without his dad being present.
