Sunny's (P.O.V)

"Come look at this Sunny."

I lowered the book I was reading from my face to look over at where Roxanne was standing at the edge of the cliff. She was looking down below her and smiling. I put the book down and I took one more look at the food from the picnic we were having before standing up from the blanket I was sitting on and going to stand next to Roxanne at the edge of the cliff.

I could feel the wind in my hair as I looked down at the ocean water below us.

"This view is beautiful."

"Like you." She said, turning her head to look into my eyes.

I put my foot forward to move closer to the edge when Roxanne stopped me.

"Wait, aren't you afraid of heights?" Roxanne said quickly.

"Roxanne, I would cry a thousand tears

for you

I would face my fears

for you

And if I could I would Bleed stars

for you."

We stared into each other's eyes until Roxanne broke eye contact and smiled.

"I want to try something." She said as she moved to stand behind me and put her hands on my waist.

I quickly put my hands out like Rose from the Titanic as I understood what she was trying to do.

"Be my Rose." She said laughing a little into my ear.

"I'll be whatever you want me to be as long as you promise to love me forever." I said before quickly turning around and putting my lips to hers.

"Ahhhh!"

I woke up sweating like a pig. I looked over at the time on my night stand and saw that it was morning already.

"What on earth was that?" I said to myself as I realized it was all a dream.

I didn't know what was going on. I didn't understand why I was dreaming about Roxanne and out of everything a dream like that.

I was about to get out of bed when I looked at my phone and saw I got a missed call from Kyle.

I quickly dialed his number and called him back.

"Hey, how are you?" He said after a couple rings.

"I'm okay. Sorry I missed your call. I just woke up from a nightmare." I said finally getting out of bed.

"Oh, I'm sorry. What was it about?" He said, sounding genuinely concerned.

I suddenly froze. There was no way that I could tell him I had a dream about someone else much less a girl.

"It wasn't anything important. It just scared me a little, that's all."

"Okay," he said.

"How's the surfing thing going?" I said after a while.

"It's going well. I'm doing another session tomorrow. These kids learn fast. I already have five kids who can ride the waves all the way through without crashing."

"That's good. I'm glad it's all working out for you." I said happy for him.

I went in my closet and grabbed my work clothes before leaving my room with my phone glued to my ears.

Amanda and Elizabeth were nowhere to be found. I guess they had class early this morning.

"Babe I need to get ready for work so I need to go, but I'll call you later tonight if you're still up." I said, walking in the bathroom.

"I won't be able to talk later, but you can call me tomorrow and we can watch a movie while we facetime. It can be the Titanic since that's your favorite movie." He said.

"Yeah, okay that's fine."

"Talk to you later."

"Okay, bye."

I put my phone on the counter before taking off my pajamas and hopping in the shower.

As I felt the water on me I thought about the dream I had. What could it possibly have meant? I didn't see Roxanne as anything but a friend. There's no way I would ever see Roxanne that way, or any other girl for that matter. I was most definitely straight so why was I having wavey dreams?

I spent the whole time in the shower thinking about the dream before I finally got out.

After spending the whole shower thinking about the dream I was finally able to think about something else as I got ready for the day.

"Two venti lattes!"

I yelled out.

I watched as two girls came to the counter and picked up their drinks.

I arrived at work an hour ago and now I was running around the place trying to keep up with all the orders we were getting.

I was in the middle of making another order when I saw Roxanne walk in the coffee shop.

She was wearing ripped jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Her hair was down today. I tried to not think about the dream as she walked up to me.

"Good morning Sunny." She said, looking at me.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I said while making a vanilla iced coffee.

"Thought I'd stop by and say hi as well as grab a cup of coffee before my next class."

"Are you going to come here every day now that you know I work here?" I asked.

"Would it be bad if I did?"

We stared at each other for a second.

"No, I was just curious." I said quickly breaking eye contact.

"You guys look busy. So I'll go somewhere else, but it was nice seeing you even though I'll see you again at my place later." She smiled at me before leaving.

"Yeah, you too." I said after her.

As I watched Roxanne leave the coffee shop something in me wished she had stayed longer.

The rest of work went by pretty fast. We were busy the whole day and the only time I could take a breather was when I was on break.

After work I went home and changed before going to dance practice.

The studio wasn't as crowded as it was on the weekend so I was able to park in my regular spot.

I could hear Lindsey Sterling blasting through the stereos as I walked in the studio room.

"Glad to see we're not late today Miss Lassiter." Kaylee said, smiling at me.

I smiled back at her as I gently threw my bag in the corner and went in an open area to stretch.

It didn't take long before the other girls showed up and practice started.

I kept messing up during practice because I kept thinking about the dream and couldn't focus. At one point Kaylee had to pull me aside and ask me what was going on.

I told her I was fine, but I was far from it. The dream really got to me and now I couldn't stop thinking about Roxanne.
