"Goodbye, Drake."
Drake clung to the edge of the condo door. "We don't have to say goodbye. You could just let me stay. We could hole up here for a while."
Mia shook her head firmly. "You and SZA are off to a good start with dominating the media reports. You have to keep up that momentum."
"But I want to keep up momentum with you, though," he said, his voice going deeper than usual as he took a step closer to her.
She shoved him back into the hall. "Remember not to call me."
"No promises."
"Aubrey." She gave him a look.
He leaned his head on the door edge. "Just let me hold you for five more minutes."
She laughed and started to close the door. "Will you move?"
"An hour. I just need one more hour."
"You just said five minutes."
"I overestimated my own ability to live without you."
Still laughing, she closed the door a little more.
He reached through the crack in the door and grabbed onto her free hand. "I hate this."
Now, it was her turn to rest her head against the door. "You're making this even harder, Aubrey."
"You're making me even-"
"Goodbye, Aubrey!" she exclaimed, collapsing in laughter as she closed the door.
Refusing to leave, he started singing in the hallway. His weight sagged against the other side of the door.
She sighed and leaned back on the door, enjoying the sound of his voice.
"I love you baby," he said, rapping his knuckles on the door.
"I love you, too," she returned, and rapped her own knuckles back before pushing herself away from the door.

When Drake arrived at his house, Chubbs stepped out of the living room. "You have a visitor."
Curious, Drake rounded the corner and strode into the living room.
Average height and lanky, with cheekbones chiseled from the Gods themselves, rapper Central Cee stood at the patio window. At the sound of Drake's entrance, he turned his head. "Doing alright for yourself, aren't you, mate?" he asked, talking around a toothpick hanging out of his mouth.
Drake whooped with laughter and went to hug the rapper. "The fuck are you doing here?"
"I got the vibes talking over the lines wasn't so safe, yeah? Decided I'd visit so we can talk real."
Chubbs held his hand out.
Drake handed him his phone and watched Central Cee do the same.
Central Cee watched Chubbs leave the living room and cracked at smile at Drake. "All a bit ridiculous and 007, innit?" he joked, chuckling and turning back to look out of the patio door.
"Let's go outside," Drake suggested.
Central Cee stepped aside so Drake could pass and open the doors. He followed and closed the doors behind him, unzipping the black puffer vest he wore over a matching hoodie. "So, what's the plan? I know you've got one."
