Wednesday and Xavier

Home From Nevermore

The journey home from Nevermore was rather silent as she preferred. She was very pleased that mother and father had send Lurch instead of them coming. The display of their affection was disturbing. The text from the stalker made a little smile appear on her face. They were finally home. She opened the door and Lurch grabbed her bags. Her parents came to greet her.

"My little viper how good to see you again!"

She walked past them and saw pugsely. He looked so happy to see her, how disgusting.

"Wednesday! I missed you"

He ran and hugged her

The display of affection was rather sickening but she pat him on his back and pushed him away. She headed to her room but her mother stopped her while Lurch went upstairs to put her bags down.

"What is it mother?"

"Come join us for dinner Wednesday"

"And witness both of your sickening obsession for each other, I would rather poke my eyeballs out"

"Come join us viper and later you can torture pugsley as much as you want"

Wednesday had a broad smile on her face. Pugsley took his food and ran outside far away from Wednesday.

"Have you made friends Wednesday?"

"Acquaintances mother"

"Would you like to tell us there names little viper"

"No"

"Have you meet anyone of interest"

Wednesday stopped eating and looked at her mother. She was disgusted, not by the fact that her mother asked that but by the fact that she may have slightly felt something for Tyler.

"I already told you mother I will never-

*ping*

She was a little startled because she forgot all about the device that was in her pocket. She continued eating but the phone made an even loader noise which her parents heard. She took out her phone and it was Xavier. She was expecting the stalker and was a little disappointed that it was Xavier.

Xavier: Hi Wednesday

Xavier: Just checking if you made it home safely

She put her phone back inside her pocket and continued eating.

"Who gave you a phone Wednesday?"

"No one"

Her father was going to ask another question but she stood up.

"If you are going to bombard me with questions then I will-

Another sound came from the phone and she left before her parents could ask another question. She went to unpack her things and placed her typewriter on a table. She sat down for about 30 minutes thinking about what she could write. Thing told her to take a break. She took out her phone and decided to answer Xavier.

Wednesday: I arrived home safely, unfortunately

She was about to put the phone back down but it made another sound. Xavier answered her seconds after she sent the message. The sound was obnoxious and loud.

Xavier: I thought you would have threw the phone away or not respond to me

Wednesday: I thought of doing that

Xavier: Glad you choose not to

Wednesday decided that she would not be trapped to this device so she turned it off and sat at her table.

Thing tapped on the table to asks her if she could get Enid's number from Xavier.

"No"

Thing was disappointed tapped
"why not?"

"We saw Enid before we left thing, you can go at least one day without talking to her"

Wednesday and thing went back downstairs to go to the cemetery but her parents stopped her.

"Wednesday, Vincent Thrope and his son will be here for dinner next Sunday"

Wednesday stopped and turned to her mother and gave her a "why?" look.

"He is here on business so we invited him to join us"

Her father continued to state how they haven't seen each other in a long time so it would be a perfect opportunity to catch up.

"You know his son Xavier Thrope, Wednesday?"

"Yes mother"

"Are you two acquaintances?"

She thought about it for a moment. Enid and Eugene were considered as her friends but she would never let them know that. Why would Xavier even want to be friends with her after what she did to him. She accused him of murder and sent him to jail but he still gave her a phone. He is quite odd she thought to herself before she realized her mother was calling her name.

"Wednesday?"

"Thing and I were just going to the cemetery to dig a hole for pugsley"

She walked out the door with thing on her shoulder.

Thing tapped to tell her that she should open her phone to see if Xavier texted but she refused and started digging a hole for pugsley.

After catching and torturing her brother she went upstairs to shower and get ready for bed. She decided to turn on her phone before going to bed because she knew Xavier must have texted her something about the dinner next Sunday.

Xavier: My father told me we would be coming to your house on Sunday

Wednesday: My parents informed me earlier

Xavier: Do you know the reason for this dinner?

Wednesday: My parents invited him to join us

Xavier: okay see you on Sunday, Wednesday

Wednesday placed the phone on the table and went to sleep
