"Do you think she's coming?" Darius asked while taking another sip of his drink. "I dunno... Although I wouldn't be surprised if she decided to stay home" Noa replied. "Dude, do you like her or some-" Before he could finish asking noa replied with a sharp. "Yep,"   both Lilith and Darius were speechless. Noa glanced at them, then quickly looked away, his cheeks turning a little pink.  "so what.. " he muttered from embarrassment. "N-nothing! I just... You were so open about it" Lilith replied, with a lopsided smile. "There's no reason to lie, Lilith.. " noa sighed. "Lie about what?"  They all looked back to see Eda standing there nervously, her arms wrapped around her stomach, smiling anxiously.

The first thing they all noticed was her hair. It was short. Cut into a nice but slightly messy wolfcut, layered very well and clearly not by her.  "Holy shit... " Darius muttered. "Edalyn, you cut your hair," Lilith said in a surprised tone. "Mhm!.. Do you like it?" Eda asked nervously. "Do you?" Noa asked. Eda started blushing a little a nodded. "Yeah... I-i do... I kinda got a little too... Well handsy with the scissors, so I went to a salon to fix it" Eda explained, then sat down next to Noa, putting her head down. "You okay?" Darius asked. "Mhm!.. Just tired is all"  Eda sighed. " I literally told you to take care of yourself, what the hell have you been doing?" Noa asked in a sort of playful tone.  "Uhm.. Throwing away a lot of stuff.." Eda mumbled and ordered a drink.  "Oh? Well, that's good" Lilith said, smiling at her sister. "So other than chopping off your hair, what else have you done?" Darius asked Inna teasing tone.

Eda chuckled remembering the feeling as her heart sank as she stood in front of the mirror, scissors in hand. She had always loved her long ginger hair but felt she needed to do something impulsive and it was time for a change. With a deep breath, she made the first cut, and a look of determination stained her face. For the next two days, Eda cried non-stop, feeling a sense of loss and regret for spending so many years of her life over someone who would never love her back. Not in the way she wanted.

As if cutting her hair wasn't enough, Eda decided to take it a step further. She gathered all the pictures she had of her dear friend Raine and threw them away. It was a drastic move, but Eda felt overwhelmed by memories and emotions tied to those photographs. The multiple boxes of inventory that once held cherished moments were now empty, just like the void she felt inside.

But even after shedding countless tears and letting go of physical reminders of the past, Eda found herself crying even more. It seemed like the floodgates had opened, and she couldn't contain her emotions any longer. However, amidst the pain and sorrow, Eda realized that she needed to pull herself together. She couldn't let herself drown in sadness forever. With determination, she wiped away her tears and took the first steps towards healing and moving forward.

And that was now...

"Uhh.. Not much, just you know... A couple of things here and there" Eda replied with an awkward smile. "well I think you look great, short hair looks great on you" Noa said, slowly grabbing her hand under the counter they were all sitting at.  Their fingers slowly intertwined, noa smiling at how nervous Eda was getting so quickly.  "I'm proud of you, Eda... You look a lot happier... And well calmer" Lilith beamed. "Thanks, Lily... I do feel a little better" Eda replied.

The rest of the night ran smoothly. They all hung out and talked, and it was noticeable Eda was enjoying herself, and getting drunk.

So around 1 am, noa decided to take Eda home because she was visibly drunk and needed a little help walking.  They got back to Noa's apartment, because well eda couldn't tell him where her keys were. "Come on,  crazy let's get you inside" Noa sighed, as Eda was constantly giggling and trying to pull away from him.  She was laid down on Noa's couch, and then given a glass of water. "Drink this.. Or you'll have a headache in the morning" he instructed her. "Noo.. Don't wanna" Eda complained, and tried to get up.   Now sat her back down, and gave her the glass again. "Here... It's more alcohol"  he lied and smirked as Eda drank it happily, too intoxicated to tell the difference.

It took 3 glasses of water, and about an hour for Eda to sober up, and start to doze off.   "Thank you.." She whispered and pressed a small kiss on his cheek. Laying her head on his shoulder, and falling asleep  noa looked at her, and reluctantly smiled before wrapping their arm around her.

Yeah, I know... Lost the draft the first time... And didn't have enough patience to write all 1487 words again... I promise the next chapter will be worth it, and long... And the last chapter
