Tallulah and Annabeth pulled up right outside of Percy's school. "Ok, I'll go invisible. Where should you hide?" Annabeth asked the girl.

"I'll make walls of plants and that shit. It'll be fine." Tallulah said dully. Annabeth's eyebrows screwed together. "You good, Lue?" The girl asked.

"It's fine. I'm fine. I'll tell you later." Tallulah snapped. They went silent. "I'm sorry. That was rude of me." Tallulah followed up with. Annabeth nodded and said, "It's ok. I'm just worried."

They silently walked around the outside of the building, hidden in their respective ways. The two girls looked through the windows for Percy.

"There he is." Tallulah said. She could see him looking at something in his notebook. "Hey!" She heard Percy protest through the cracked window. The guy checked out the picture and his eyes got wide.

"No way, Jackson. Who is that? She is not your-" "Give it back!" Percy said, his face pink. The guy handed the picture around.

Annabeth gasped. "What's wrong?" Tallulah asked her. "Well, that guy's friends are definitely monsters. Also that picture Percy has is a picture of you." They watched as the picture got torn to shreds

Tallulah's face felt hot as she said, "Shut up Beth. I sent it to him months ago. I didn't think he would keep it. How do we kill the monsters?" Annabeth smirked. It slowly faded as she said, "I'm still working on that part."

They saw the leader of the douches point to the others. He said, "These guys are moving next year. I hope they can pay the tuition, unlike your retarted friend."

Percy clenched his fist, his anger floating around them. "He's not retarded." Percy said firmly. "You're such a loser, Jackson. Good thing I'm gonna put you out of your misery next period."

His huge buddies chewed up the photo. The bell rang and everyone got up to go to the next class. Before Tallulah could stop herself she said, "Percy!"

Annabeth's eyes widened as she yanked Tallulah out of view. "Do you want us to get caught?" she hissed. Tallulah blushed and didn't say anything.

The two girls climbed inside the window when the teacher wasn't watching, yes it was difficult, and followed Percy through the crowded hallways. They blended in with the rest of the student body.

Percy had gotten ready for gym class. He walked into the gym with another boy, though Tallulah didn't get a good look at his face.

"We should wait out here. If Percy sees us he could be in more danger." Tallulah said to Annabeth. She nodded and so they sat and listened, hoping danger would stay away just a little longer.

Danger didn't wait. In fact about three minutes later something blew up. "Run!" They heard Percy yell. "The other exit!"

Tallulah pressed the gem on her enchanted ring and her sword appeared in her hand. "We have to help them." Tallulah said. Her and Annabeth ran into the gym together, their weapons drawn.

They ran into the gym where they saw Percy's big friend was fighting the monsters. "That's a cyclops!" Annabeth yelled. "He's Percy's friend. Let him be. He's helping." Tallulah told her.

Annabeth nodded. Tallulah scanned the room for Percy. She saw him running for the locker room, where his pen probably was. "No!" Tallulah heard Percy yell.

The ball a monster had thrown at Percy's friend caught him square in the chest. He slid the length of the court and slammed into the back wall, which cracked and partially crumbled on top of him, making a hole right onto Church Street.

He looked dazed. The only reason he didn't die is because he is a cyclops. The bronze ball was smoking at his feet.

"Well!" Joe Bob gloated. "I'm the last one standing! I'll have enough meat to bring Babycakes a doggie bag!" He picked up another ball and aimed it at the cyclops.

"Stop!" Percy yelled. "It's me you want!" The giant grinned. "You wish to die first, young hero?" 'Why must he do this?' Tallulah asked herself.

She crept up behind the giant. The giant laughed as Percy walked toward it. "My lunch approaches." The giant swung his giant fist, ready to throw a fireball at her best friend.

Too bad she swung her sword and killed it, turning him to sand. Percy laid on the floor, staring up at Tallulah. His eyes were wide with disbelief.

The boy who had been the leader of the douches stuttered and said, "That's the girl ... That's the girl-."

Tallulah was overcome with rage. How dare this kid make fun of Percy and his friend? How dare he tear up her picture?

Tallulah pressed the gem on the hilt of her sword, turning it back into a ring. She walked up to the boy. She punched him as hard as she could in the face and said, "Next time you make fun of Percy, you'll get worse than a broken nose."

Annabeth appeared and said, "Nice punch." Tallulah gave her a cheshire cat grin. Tallulah walked over to Percy and helped him up.

Percy wrapped his arms around her shoulders. They both had gotten taller, Tallulah not by much. Percy's hair had grown out a little, his sea green eyes had the same glow.

Percy studied her intently, making Tallulah blush under his gaze.

She knew she had grown up a little. Her hair went a little past her shoulder now in its natural wavy state. She had gotten her ears pierced for the first time, and she had hit puberty. Her face had slimmed out and her curves were more prominent.

Annabeth sheathed her knife, and got their attention. "Wait, how long-" Percy started to ask before Annabeth interrupted. "There's no time to explain!" she snapped.

"There!" a woman screamed. The doors burst open and the adults came pouring in. "Meet us outside," Tallulah told Percy. Her voice was harsh. Percy nodded.

"Bring him." Annabeth said, pointing to Percy's friend. Annabeth gave him a look of distaste and her disgust floated around them. Tallulah wrinkled her nose as if the feeling smelt bad. "Beth, calm the disgust. For my sake and yours." She just rolled her eyes.

"Wait why do I-" Annabeth cut Percy off again. "You'd better bring him." "Just do what she says. Meet us outside." Tallulah snapped. Annabeth put her cap on and disappeared. Tallulah felt like a superhero when she ran out of the giant hole in the wall.

Annabeth reappeared when they were a ways away. They found a grassy area by the street for Tallulah to make a wall from. They waited until they saw Percy and his friend.

Tallulah made the grass wall disappear and her and Annabeth walked over to Percy.
