Chapter 16

I didn't go to school for the next few days because I was too sore and weak to move and walk around. I just needed rest. But halfway through the week, I was finally feeling somewhat better and I decided it would be best if I went to school instead of lying around at Niall's house all day.

            But, I didn't want to go school. I wasn't ready to face Emily, Brian, or anyone else. I didn't want to have to explain to them what had happened between Brian and I and I didn't want Brian to know that Niall and I were dating. I didn't want drama. I was tired of it, but I knew it was coming and I would just have to face it.

            The car ride to school was silent and quick. Niall didn't live far from school.

            I was nervous to be back at school, but Niall made me feel better. The minute I stepped out of the car, he was there to hold my hand.

            "I want you to ignore Brian today," He looked down at me.

            I nodded and we walked onto campus where a familiar figure stood looking out at us. Brian stood by the school's gate watching us walk up.

            "Baby, where you going?" He called out as Niall and I walked past him.

            "Ignore him," Niall whispered while he held my hand tighter.

            "Liv!" Brian yelled out. I could hear him running towards me. It was becoming harder to ignore him. Niall heard him too because he immediately stopped walking, turned around, and shielded me from Brian's presence.

            "Liv, go to class." Niall said as I walked up next to him.

            "But Niall-"

            "Liv, go"

            I slowly turned around and began to walk away, but I didn't walk too far because I still wanted to be able to listen to their conversation.
