"Liv! Stop walking so fast! Wait up!" I heard Emily yell.
I knew she wanted to talk to me about the party last night, and I really wanted to avoid that topic. Everyone knew that Brian had gotten beat up and passed out, but no one knew why or who do it. And I wasn't exactly ready to tell the world that my boyfriend almost raped me and so Niall knocked him out.
Even though I didn't want to talk, I didn't want to be rude and I didn't want her to be suspicious, so I stopped walking and I let her catch up to me.
"Ugh finally! I've been calling your name forever." She panted.
"Sorry. I'm kinda in a rush," I lied.
"Oh. Wait I have a question. What happened to Brian?"
"Uh I don't know," I lied again.
"C'mon. You went with him. You have to know what happened."
"Well I don't. He probably just pissed someone off and so they hit him. No big deal."
"Well don't you care? I mean, he is your boyfriend." She said.
God, I hated when she did that. She knew I didn't want to answer questions, but yet she still asked them. I told her that I didn't like talking about Brian. She was always curious about him and about why I hated him so much, but I would always turn down her questions. I knew she was suspicious and I wondered how many other people were too.
"Can you just drop it, Em? I don't want to talk about it."
"No! If you hate him so much, then why don't you just break up with him? Then, you won't have to deal with him anymore."
But the thing was that if I broke up with him, I probably would have to deal with him even more.
