I woke up in the middle of the night to Niall's strong arm holding me against his body. I slowly wiggled out of his hold as I turned to face him. His eyes were scanning the room as if something was wrong.
"Are you okay?" I whispered. His attention then turned to me.
"I think someone's here," He whispered as he slowly got off the bed and headed towards the door.
"Niall!" I whispered loudly as I got off the bed.
"Stay here. I'm gonna have a look."
"No Niall I'm coming with you."
"No, I'll be right back. Stay here."
I watched him open the door and walk out of my room. I sat there in silence as I listened for any noises, but I didn't hear anything. Minutes went by, and I was getting anxious, so I opened the door and peeked my head out. I heard shouting from outside.
I hurried down the stairs, opened the front door, and ran into the cold air. Niall and Brian were standing on the grass yelling at each other. They hadn't heard me come outside and I wanted to keep it that way. I wanted to know why Brian was here and I knew that Niall would never tell me why so I needed to hear it myself.
"I thought I told you to stay away from my girl!" Brian yelled.
"She's not your girl!" Niall yelled back.
"Well she will be. Just wait. I'll get her back and it won't be pretty." Brian started walking towards the house. I hid behind a bush and peeked out.
"No. Don't hurt her!" Niall yelled blocking Brian.
"Niall, move. I want the girl."
