"Mum, do you really have to go this weekend?" I asked her again. I didn't want her and dad to go.

"Yes, your grandma needs us right now. We won't be gone for that long anyways."

This was just great. My parents were leaving for the weekend to go help out my grandmother. My grandmother was very ill and had recently fallen, so my parents were going to go check up on her and make sure she was okay; leaving me home alone all weekend long.

I walked my parents out and waved goodbye as they drove away.

It was Friday night and Kelly was throwing another party, and Brian wanted me to be there. I didn't want to go at all. I knew what Brian wanted to do at the party, and I wasn't going to agree to it.

I hadn't gone to school that day, because I didn't want to see Brian. I had a plan. If I wasn't at school and if I told him I was sick, then I wouldn't have to go to the party. But obviously, Brian didn't like when I texted and told him I couldn't go.

I lay on the couch and ignored his calls. I didn't want to talk to him. I didn't care if he got mad right now. If he tried coming to my house to see me, I would just hide upstairs and pretend I wasn't home. And that's exactly what I did when I heard him knock on the front door. I knew it was him by the loud banging and shouting. I stayed hidden.

"Liv! I know you're in there!" He yelled.

I couldn't just stay hidden on the floor. What if he came inside? I would have nothing to defend myself with. So, I crawled to the kitchen that was nearby and quietly grabbed a knife before sliding back upstairs and into the bathroom, locking the door.

I heard a crash. That bastard had broken into my house. Fear took over me. I was shaking and crying like crazy, but I knew I had to keep quiet if I didn't want him to find me.

"Now where are you!?" He screamed and banged on every door in the hallway, before banging on the bathroom door. It was closed and he tried opening it and then realized it was locked. I immediately ran to the shower and turned it on. If I was in the shower, then he couldn't be upset. By being in the shower that would explain why I hadn't answered his calls or the door. The water was too loud for me to hear the door. Yeah I was a genius. Shortly after turning on the water, the door gave in and Brian appeared. He had kicked my door in. He walked closer to me as I grasped onto the knife tightly.
