My eyes slowly fluttered opened as I felt an emptiness take over where Niall once laid. Just as I had woken up, I noticed a tall figure walking away from the bed where only minutes ago, he once was snuggled into my body.
"Niall?" My morning voice spoke.
He turned around surprised as if he wasn't expecting his sudden abandonment to awake me.
"I'll be right back," He said before turning back around and heading off to somewhere in the house.
Even though it was early morning and fairly sunny, I was still scared to be left alone. I wanted his comfort next to me, I needed him. Just knowing he was by me, made me feel safe and I longed to snuggle into him more.
I didn't go after him though. In a way, I liked the feeling of hiding under the warmth of the sheets because it reminded me of him and how his arm would shelter me into his warmth, but I also was nervous of where he was going and a part of me feared it had something to do with the mess we were in. But my judgment was wrong. Within minutes, he had returned back to the bedroom with two bowls of cereal: one for him and one for me. Turned out, his little breakfast trip had nothing to do with Brian nor Logan nor his dad who I still had yet to know the actual name of.
"Thanks," I smiled as I sat up in bed and was handed a bowl.
Our breakfast was rather quieter than normal, but the television in the background drowned out most of the silence.
"Have you talked to your parents recently," Niall asked after finishing his breakfast and setting it aside.
"No, I haven't even thought of them until now,"
"Aren't they worried?"
"Probably. Have you seen my phone anywhere?" I asked as I sat up from the bed and rummaged through the sheets in hopes of finding it.
"It should be in here, I remember seeing it." Niall said and seconds later, I had found it layered beneath several of the sheets.
"Great," I said sarcastically as I looked through all the missed calls I had received over the last several days. I hadn't talked to my parents in at least two days and they were obviously worried sick.
"They're worried aren't they?" He asked.
"Yeah, I have thirty-five missed calls all from them,"
"I should probably take you home, but what are you going to tell them?"
"I'll just tell them what I always tell them. I'll tell them I was at Emily's,"
"Do you think they'll buy it?" He asked.
"Probably,"

"Mum! Calm down! I was just at Emily's!" I yelled.
"I'm not going to calm down! You had us worried sick! You can't just disappear like that and expect us not to worry! And quit with the crap, I know you weren't at Emily's! I called her mother who had no idea that you were over there," My mom yelled back as we made our way into my bedroom where the yelling continued. Niall had left before he had the opportunity to meet my parents and watch the argument unfold.
"I'm not lying!" I lied.
"Where were you?" She ignored my previous statement.
"I told you already. I was at Emily's!"
"No you weren't. Were you with a boy?"
"No!"
"Were you?" She repeated her question.
