As you and Giyu entered the village everything seemed normal at a glance, but you quickly picked out something eerie about the village.

"Neh Giyu....don't you think the village is a bit....too quiet?"

Giyu took a quick look around and noticed that not a single form of life seemed to be in the village.

"I think you may be right. Keep your guard up for now", Giyu said as he unsheathed his Katana from its holster.

You nodded and unsheathed your katana as well following right after Giyu. You started to feel something was off Giyu seemed to get farther away from you.

"Giyu hang on you are walking way too fast!"

But it's like he could not hear you, by the time you thought you reached him you were standing in front of a bamboo forest on the outskirts of the village.

"Where did Giyu go", you wondered. You entered the bamboo forest in hopes that Giyu was in there, but with each turn you took Giyu was nowhere in sight.

After a long time of searching, you couldn't figure out what was going on or where Giyu would be. You clenched your sword tightly concluding this must be the work of a demon who separated you two, now you just needed to find this darn demon.

As you continued forward you heard someone call out to you.

"(Y/N)!" a voice called out.

You turned around to see Giyu and with instant relief came from seeing his face. "Giyu! I was trying to find you!"

Giyu smiled and hugged you, "Nothing to worry about now we are back together", he quickly let go and your eyes followed him as he turned around to say something.

"It's ok to come out now", Giyu said.

You tilted your head in confusion, not expecting anyone but the two of you on this mission. As you moved your eyes to the unexpected visitor your heart skipped a beat.

Orange hair, a scar on the corner of his face, and the same gentle blue eyes you couldn't forget.

"Sabito...", you breathed out his name.

Sabito looked over at you with a gentle smile and moved towards you. "(Y/N), I can't believe I get to see you again."

You shook your head and took a step back, "No...No there's no way..."

Sabito frowned at your sudden reaction and took another step towards you, "(Y/N) it's me....there's no need to be scared, it's me."

You were in disbelief there was no way this was Sabito you saw him die right in front of you. You looked over to Giyu for help, but he just stared at you two.

Something was off. You took this chance to raise your sword and pointed it towards Sabito your eyes glaring down at his figure.

"There is no way you are still alive... I watched you die right in front of me. Explain yourself!" you said with trembling hands.

Sabito pushed your trembling sword down and got right up to your face and whispered, "You're right, I'm not Sabito."

Your eyes widened and before you could react 'Giyu' went behind you and knocked you out with a quick hit to the neck.

You felt your body begin to go limp and the last thing you saw was 'Sabito' and 'Giyu' hovering over you.

"(Y/N)! Wake up dear! Get out of there!" your father said holding onto your shoulder "Wake up now!"

The voice of your father woke you up immediately, but the incoming light strains your eyes.

'Where were you and how did you get here? ' You looked around and took notice of your surroundings. It seemed like you were in a cave in the bamboo forest.

As you heard footsteps heading towards your location, you pretended you were still unconscious and hoped whoever was coming wouldn't notice you were awake.

"KEKEKE what stupid Demon Slayers to fall for my illusion techniques, humans are so easy to catch off guard."

You opened one of your eyes and saw the voice was coming from a demon. Most likely the one who caught you from the sound of it. The demon did not seem to be a high-ranking one by the looks of it.

You were disappointed in yourself to have fallen for an illusion technique, you were a Hashira now and you got caught so easily. You had hoped Giyu did not get caught and were safe somewhere.

'I need to get out of here...Where's my kantana', you said to yourself. You tried to move one of your arms but noticed the rope was tied around your wrists.

'Tch this won't be easy'.

A day has passed and Giyu has been trying to search for you, but to no avail, you were nowhere to be found. He was beyond frustrated.

"Where could she be, she was right behind me," Giyu said to himself.

As much as Giyu didn't want to admit it, he needed help to find you. He called out to his crow and let him know to find any demon slayers that were nearby to help him.

Now he just had to wait.

CAW CAW

Sanemi raised his head to see a crow circling him, he raised his arm so that the crow could land on his arm.

'Tch what now', Sanemi muttered to himself annoyed at another possible mission

Sanemi grabbed the note from the crow and sent it on its way. Sanemi opened the note, his eyes widened at the message.

'Shit! ', Sanemi took off in a dash towards the location, where you were.

'How could you be so fucking stupid getting caught by a fucking demon! ', Sanemi was furious and knew he needed to get to you fast.

Sanemi reached the location in under an hour and saw Giyu's figure waiting at the entrance of the bamboo forest.

Just seeing his face infuriated Sanemi to no end. Because of him, you were gone and who knows if you were still alive.

Sanemi got up to Giyu's face and grabbed him by the collar, "How fucking stupid are you, you lost (Y/N)! Aren't you supposed to protect her!"

Giyu bit his lower lip in anger and tears threatened to come out from the corner of his eyes, "Don't you think I know that! This was supposed to be an easy mission and I lost her! For all I know she could be dead and it's my fault!"

Sanemi noticed the pain coming from Giyu's voice let go of his collar and let him collapse to the floor.

"Tch....don't be ridiculous she's strong. She's a Hashira."

Sanemi started to walk inside the bamboo forest and turned around to look at Giyu, "Let's go."
