The Final Examination had finally come to a close, all that stood left were yourself, Giyu, Sanemi, and a few other examiners. As Amane was congratulating everyone and explaining after choosing an ore a swords smith would be making the sword you could use as a demon slayer. You couldn't help but tune out everything that was being said or done around you. You kept replaying the scene of loosing Sabito and what you could have done different to save him. You looked up to Giyu's face, who was currently holding on to your hand. From the handhold with Giyu you would feel that he would tense up every so often. You knew that he was trying to hold his composure just as much as you were, but it was tough.

Sanemi who was but a person away from you, would look over to you and furrow his brow. He couldn't understand why you were so sentimental about this friend. Families, friends, and comrades would perish from demon attacks everyday, there was no need to dwell on a lose when you are still alive. He sighed and focused back on Amane instructions trying not to look in your direction.

Amane starting calling everyone one by one to come up and choose an ore, everyone formed a line and one by one choose an ore for their sword. You were the last one in the line and it was finally your turn, you went up and saw a ore with white geodes sticking out.

You looked up to Amane and pointed towards the ore, "This is the one I would like."

Amane nodded her head in conformation and gathered everyones ore to prepare to send off to the sword smiths. She turned back around and bowed, "This concludes the end of the Final Examination, I am excited to see what everyone will accomplish."

Everyone had started to gather their things to get ready to depart, you picked up your sword and Kitsune mask and made your way over to Giyu.

You tapped his shoulder and asked, "Are you ready to go back to Urokodaki?"

Giyu nodded and finished gathering his belongings. Just as you were about to reach the end of the mountain you were stopped by Amane who was waiting at the end of the staircase, holding a bundle of cloth in her arms.

She turned to you and Giyu, "Hara-san and Tomoika-san, I have something for you", she held out the bundle towards you.

You tilted your head in confusion," I'm sorry, but what is this?"

Amane smiled and said softly, "Open it."

You followed her instructions with Giyu right behind your shoulder inspecting the bundle in your arms. You unwrapped the cloth and see Sabito's Haori and Kitsune mask, you gasped and felt tears welling up in your eyes. Giyu was just as surprised and looked at Amane with so many questions in his head.

"But....how?", Giyu asked.

Amane smiled and motioned behind her, "A fellow examiner went back to gather the things for you two, saying it was important that you two got it back."

You looked up from Sabito's belongings and see who Amane motioned to. You looked up to see the farway figure of Sanemi, who was walking away. You smiled to yourself, you never got to thank him for this.

You bowed towards Amane, "Thank you for delivering these to us, we should be on our way now." You rewrapped up Sabito's belonging and waved goodbye to Amane, walking alongside Giyu back to what you two considered "Home".

By the time nightfall had fallen, Giyu and you finally made it back home. You both stood on top of the small hill overseeing Urokodaki's house, seeing Urokodaki waiting at the front entrance for the return on his children. You couldn't hold it back any longer, you ran towards Urokodaki and threw yourself into his arms.

You cried hard into his cloud Haori, "We couldn't save him! Sabito....Sabito's gone..."

Giyu came right behind the two of you and hugged you from behind joining in the hug. Behind Urokodaki's mask tears started to form for the loss of his child, but also for the return of his other ones. He held you both tightly not only to comfort you two, but also to comfort himself.

It would take some time for all of you to recover from Sabito's death, but now that both you and Giyu were now demon slayer, you had a duty to protect others from the demons and keep them away from harm. Giyu had transformed his Haori, he had cut his sisters red haori in half and stitched together the other half of Sabito's haori. You remember watching Giyu do this and giving you the idea of wanting a piece of Sabito with you too, decided to grab the red rope from Sabito's Kitsune mask and making it into a hair tie for yourself.

It had been at least two weeks since you two had passed the Final Examinations and the time to get your swords would be today. As you three where enjoying a nice meal together, the noise of footsteps were at the front door. Urokodaki stood up and went up to the front door, opening it up for the visitors.

You looked up to see the visitors wearing a hyottoko masks, you were a bit taken a back from there, but figured maybe they were just trying to hide their identity, since hearing from Urokodaki that they need to hide to identity so that demons can't find them.

One of the visitors came up to you and presented themselves, "Hello you must be Hara-san, I am your sword smith Haru at your service. I had the honor of making your sword out of the ore you choose at the end of your Final Selection."

He handed you a sword in a pale blue sheath. You noticed at the end of the swords hilt was a snowflake charm with a white ribbon attached to it. You smiled admiring how beautiful this sword looked.

He looked at you with antitipation," They say that Nichirin swords change colors depending on the owner, please go ahead and unshealth your sword."

You nodded and slowly took the sword out from the sheath, instantly the sword transformed into a transparent white color. You stared in awe at how this sword really matched your Ice-breathing style.

"MARVELOUS! IT REALLY CAPITIVATES YOU AS ITS USER! SO WONDERFUL IT SCREAMS OUT ICE!", Haru cheered in happiness.

You laughed at his sudden outburst and turned your head towards Giyu to see him staring at his blue sword, it really suited him as well as the water-breather. Urokodaki congratulated you two for the splendid colors there came out to be. The two sword-smiths would end up staying the night since their travel was far. Giyu and you decided to sneak out to the mountains where the boulder test took place. As you two reached the spot where the mountain was you went up to the boulder that was still cut in half.

You placed your hand on the boulder and closed your eyes, "I wish you could have been here with us Sabito, but we will keep pushing forward for you."

Giyu went right up behind you and placed Sabito's Kitsune mask to rest against the boulder, "Sabito.....look over us, just as you always have."

You both bowed in front of the kitsune mask and made your way down the mountain back to the house for the night. From a distance, you two did not see the form of Sabito was sitting from a branch watching the two of you, he smiled at your two retreating forms.

"Congratulations you two, make me proud", Sabito said as his form disappeared once again.
