Unexpected Pairing

"Derek, he umm... he hurt me." I responded looking down.

"He what?"

  Once hearing this Addison started fuming. If they were in a cartoon smoke would be coming out of her ears. She was about to loose it all.

"Let's call Cristina, okay?" Addison calmly said, making Meredith nod in respond.

Addison grabbed Meredith's pager and paged Cristina from it. Not too long after Cristina appeared.

"Meredith?" Cristina asked, walking through. "Oh! Doctor Montgomery. Wait, what's going on?" She raised an eyebrow.

"I'll explain later. Can you take Meredith to an on-call room? I have to take care of something.

"Uh...yeah."

Addison gave a small thanks and walked out. Once out she furiously walked away. She had no clue where Derek was but she was 100% going to find him, one way or the other. As she is walked around looking for him she spotted a nurse and asked her where he was which she responded with him being in the resident launch.

Entering the room she saw that it was a bit crowded, but she spotted him immediately. She strutted towards him, grabbed him by the collar, and dragged him outside to the hall. Letting go of his collar she slapped him so hard that her handprint was burnt into his cheek. He looked at her in shock.

"How dare you? Who gave you the audacity to do what you did to Meredith?" She shouted, she didn't care who heard her. "How dare you force yourself unto her! Just because they call you McDreamy and you think you are all that doesn't mean you can go around harassing and assaulting people."

Addison grabbed his color once more and whispered harshly into his ear. "You better watch out, Derek. Meredith is mine and you don't wanna know what else will happen to you if you mess with her again. Hell, if you even you look at her the wrong way"

Addison let him go and walked away before he had the chance to say anything. Walking away she called Meredith's phone. Addison made Meredith carry her phone in case she was going to slip or need any help.
Three rings later the call was answered. All the heard was crying and then Cristina's voice.

"Doctor Yang, what's going on?" Addison was once again concerned.

"I don't know, Doctor Montgomery. Meredith has been crying and calling out for her mommy. I don't know what she means." Cristina answered a bit freaked out.

"Okay. What on-call room are you guys in?"

"Second floor, next to the supply closet."

With that Addison hinged out and quickly jogged to her locker. At the beginning of her cglg with Meredith she packed a small bag and kept it in her locker just in case. Quickly she grabbed a paci and shoved it in her coat pocket before going to Meredith. It didn't take long before she could slightly hear the cries.

"I'm here." Addison announced as she walked in, slightly out of breath.

"She's been crying for like 5 minutes." Cristina pointed at a crying Meredith who was in the fetal position on the bed.

"Oh, my baby." Addison walked towards Meredith, then sat down.

Addison pulled out the paci from her pocket, took out the mouth cover and put it in Meredith's mouth. She then started caressing her hair along with the side of her face repeating 'mommy is here' trying to sooth her. After a while Meredith managed to calm down

"Princess, do you think we can sit up? You wanna lay down on mommy and take a nap?" Meredith looked up at Addison and nodded.

Meredith sat up and Addison went on the bed laying against the top of the bed. Meredith went and laid between her legs with her head on Addison's stomach, happily closing her eyes and sucking away at her paci. Addison started caressing her hair once again. During all of this Cristina was standing by the door filled with shock, confusion, and curiosity.

"Do-Doctor Montgomery." Cristina let out a breath. "Why is Meredith acting like that?" There was no disgust in her voice, just pure curiosity.

"Well, there's thing thing called age regression in which a person regresses mentally to a younger age. It's a coping mechanism and Meredith uses. People can use it to heal from trauma or because it brings them peace. She wanted to keep it hidden, but I guess now you know."

"Oh..." Cristina had a blank face. "I'm sorry, I'm not disgusted or anything I just don't know how to react."

"It's okay, take your time. If you want you can stay until she completely falls asleep." Addison gave Cristina a sympathetic smile.

Cristina decided to stay. She looked at Meredith's face and she swears she has never seen Meredith this peaceful before. She was never seen her this relaxed. Cristina noticed how Meredith would snuggle farther into Addison and the rhythmic sound of the pacifier. A few minutes passed and she left, but before leaving she locked the door behind her. Meredith was asleep and she needed some time alone to process this.

About 30 minutes had passed and Addison decided to wake Meredith up. It wasn't that hard to wake her, only took a few seconds.

"Hi! There's my baby." Addison smile widely at her.

"Hello, Addie." Meredith smiled back , stretching herself a bit.

"How you feeling, baby?" Addison asked hesitantly not wanting to trigger Meredith.

"Tired and disgusting." Addison sighed.

"Baby, can you try and explain what exactly happen?"

Meredith looked away. "Yeah. Well, at first everything was fine. He didn't talk to me or anything like that, well only in surgery when he needed something. He kept glancing at me the entire time which I found awkward. After the surgery we scrubbed out and that's when it happened." Meredith let a shaky breath out. "He called out my name before I left and told me that he and his girlfriend broke up and asked me if I reacted to go on a date with him. I said no and that I was interested in someone as I backed into the corner of the wall because honestly I was getting scared. He then practically started begging me to go out with him and how one date wouldn't hurt. I said no again, that I'm interested in someone, and how we should stay professional. That's when he threw himself unto me. After he laughed and told me to think about it and left."

  Looking down at her, Addison saw tears spilling from Meredith's eyes. Addison was filled with anger once again after hearing the whole story and how insisting Derek was being. For her baby, for Meredith, she tried her best to stay calm.

"Meredith, love." Addison put two fingers under Meredith's chin making her look up. "I promise you I'll never let him or anyone else ever hurt you. I care too much to let anything or anyone hurt you."

"You promise?" Meredith asked with puppy eyes, an innocent look filling them.

"I pinky promise."
