It's the beginning of the week, air is coloring people's faces pink. The interns are in the locker room, long sleeves under scrubs trying to hide away from the cold.
" 'morning everybody. Listen up." Bailey shouted, the interns scrammed and surrounding her.
"Karev, Ortho. O'malley, OB. Cristina, Altman at trauma. Grey, me..."
Cristina and Meredith looked at each other recognizing the name Bailey just mention.
'No way! It can't be her" Cristina thought. 'Sure she was here on Friday, but its impossible for her to be working here now. Plus, why would she want to be working here? Does her ginger friend lives near by and maybe she's living with him. And why does that thought bother her?" Cristina shakes her head trying to get rid of those thoughts and goes down to the ER.
Walking into trauma one Cristina saw her. Her hair was up into a messy bun, a few pieces falling into her face framing her face perfectly. Her dark blue scrubs made her hazel eyes pop out even more. Those same eyes give her a tingle when she looked up and called her name.
"Dr. Yang. Lets go!" She spoke. Cristina quickly gowned up and started lending Teddy a hand.

"Dr Grey, I need you prepared today. We have multiple surgeries todays."
"Yes, Dr. Bailey." Meredith answered.
"See you at 10."
Meredith goes over the nurse station and grabs some charts, walking towards the stairs to sit. She starting charting, hoping she would be done before it was time to go prep for the surgery. Honestly, Meredith was feeling a little small. She didn't tell Addison this morning because she felt like she would be able to get out of it herself. So far she was still in that headspace; she was still able to adult but still felt small.
Its 9:30 now and Meredith goes to drop off the charts at the station. As she approaches the station she sees Addison and she can feel a smile forming on her face.
"Hi, baby." Addison places her hand on Meredith's shoulder.
"Hi!" Meredith greeted in a slightly pitched voice.
"You feeling okay?" Addison gave her a look and she nodded. "Are you sure?"
"I'm sure, Addie." Meredith lied. Addison squinted her eyes at her and moved on. "Anyways. I gotta go prep for surgery. Bailey said we have a few today. I'll see you at lunch?"
"I'll see you at lunch. Good luck, babe." Addison peeked Meredith's cheek and gave goodbye to her.
Meredith went over to OR 3, finding Bailey already there. She went over the sink and started scrubbing in trying to think of 'big girl' things trying to get out of her headspace. She knew she should've told Addison the truth, but she knew that she would make her leave her surgeries and go and make an excuse to Bailey. Meredith didn't want to anger Bailey in any way, shape, or form.
_______
"Okay, scalpel." Bailey called out once ready.
Bailey started gliding the scalpel against the patient's skin, blood quickly following after. Meredith was fighting her headspace so hard, yet at the same time she was kind of ignoring it. Bailey began with the surgery and as Meredith helped her she began to feel her eyes water. Her headspace was quickly coming in and she wouldn't hold it back.
"B-Bailey." Meredith said out of breath.
"Grey?" Bailey looked up, noticing Meredith hyperventilating. "Okay, let's go somewhere else." Bailey mentions the nurses to page two other surgeons to replace them.
Bailey guides Meredith outside the operating room and takes outMeredith's mask, followed by taking out her own gloves. She turns on the faucet and softly splashes cold water on Meredith's face.
"Awwie." Meredith breaths out with a wobbly lip.
"You want Addison?" Meredith quickly nods a yes. Bailey is honestly so lost with what's going on.
Bailey pages Addison 911. About a minute later Addison rushes in. Seeing Meredith crying, she asked no questions and went straight to her. She pulled her into a hug, soothing her hair over and over.
"Oh my baby." Addison kissed her forehead. "What happened?" She redirected her words to Bailey.
"I don't know." Bailey was extremely confused. The pet name, Meredith crying, Addison soothing her as if she was a baby. "She just started crying."
"Princess, can you tell mama what happened?" Addison pulled Meredith away from her chest, just enough to see her face.
"Too much. Beeping an bwood scawe Mewedif." Her lip wobbled a little.
"We're you feeling little." Meredith nodded. "Baby, why didn't you tell me earlier? You know what, it's okay." Addison pulled her against her again. She wasn't going to get mad at the girl.
"Addison, what's going on?" Bailey felt like her head was going to explode. Honestly, she was a little aggravated.
"Well, Meredith is an age regressor. It's the healthiest way she can cope with her trauma."
"Oh." Bailey's face softened. Bailey got closer to them, placing a hand on Meredith's back. "Well, go and take her. We have another surgery in about 5 hours."
"Thank you, Bailey." Addison smiled.
"No problem."
"Let's go, princess." Addison guides Meredith out of the OR.
Addison and Meredith walk into the nearest on-call room, Addison locking the door behind them. They sit on one of the beds and Addison brings Meredith to her chest wanting to completely calm her down.
"Baby, why didn't you come to mommy?" Addison spoke calmly to Meredith, caressing her hair.
"Mewedif wanna be big girl." She snuggled a big closer to Addison.
"Baby, I'm sure we could've figured something out. We got many surgeons here."
"I sowwy."
"It's okay, princess. No need to worry. We just have to talk to Bailey now."
