"But..." The universe started before everything started to distort itself and glitch.

"That's enough," Said another voice.

"You will not interfere with fate for your own motive, Universe. I have warned you to keep your selfish desires from entangling with fate" It boomed.

The universe started to glitch in and out, and so did she. Uzi's metal exterior glitched, turning into something more...human.

"You already did this once Universe, and now that is the reason why the worlds you interfered with will now be destroyed. All the events that happened were your fault for emphasizing with the drone" It hissed.

"So the war, the AbsoluteSolver, and Adam resurrection was your fault?" Uzi whispered, turning on her heels.

"I...gave your kind the will, souls"

"The AbsoluteSolver?" Reality Hissed.

"You gave...my powers to drones? And you pass the full thing to your offspring?" Reality said quietly, seething with anger.

"I-I..." Universe started to stammer.

"This is one more reason why we should let the mortal get involved, she has a fraction of that power, she can save us all" The universe said.

Reality stayed quiet, before the glitch faded away. There was a distant rumbling and they shifted the scene of a clock made with gears.

"Time is not on our side," Reality muttered.

"Perhaps..."

The gears stopped and suddenly everything started to drip with black liquid that almost seemed like red...almost like blood.

"No... this is all my fault" The universe whispered.

"Return now mortal and find the dawning of reality" The voice boomed.

And suddenly, she was blasted back into her present time, sweating and crying as she did. She stumbled out of her bed, choking on air as she replayed what happened.

They were all going to die.

And there was nothing she could do to stop it.

She started to sob and breakdown as this realization hit her hard. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder that spun her around.

"Uzi?" The voice asked sweetly.

She turned around to see N, clearly concerned about her.

"Can't sleep?" He asked.

She nodded, before hugging him tightly. A look of surprise crossed his face but he didn't push her away; instead he pulled her in tighter.

"Do you uhhh... want to stay with me tonight?" He asked awkwardly, immediately regretting it afterwards.

She nodded, catching him off guard before they returned to his room. He grabbed a blanket and she leaned on his shoulder as he adjusted it around them.

"Do you trust me?" She asked quietly.

"Yeah" He said with no hesitation.

He took her hands and his and placed it together, letting the moonlight hit them.

"Why?" She asked, twirling their intertwined hands.

"No reason" He said back, leaning his head on hers.

"You're so foolish and naive," She whispered.

"Maybe...but that's ok" He said, falling asleep.

For the first in a long time, Uzi felt...safe. She listened to his chest rise and fall as the night went by reminding herself that she is no longer alone. Everything that burdened her and caused her pain was lifted off her shoulder. It felt nice, even if it was only one night.

They woke up a rising sun, hissing as it slightly burned them. Uzi rubbed her eyes and flushed when she found herself still next to N. She decided to get up and let him sleep for a little longer as she worked to prepare the capsule to leave for Tessa's location to check up on her.

"Tessa," She thought to herself.

"You better be okay"
