Uzi fell to the ground, struggling to breathe. Her half-fleshed heart thumped in her small chest cavity rapidly. Her breath became hot and panicked; her purple eyes dilated at realization that they were too late. He grabbed her and started to shake her to get her out of her panicked state but failed as she pushed him away. V quickly stormed over grabbed Uzi and slapped her across that face as N and V watched with their mouths agape.

"B*tch, I thought you were smarter. How is panicking going to do anything? " She shouted at Uzi.

"It can't be... I was too late" Uzi continued breathlessly.

V slapped her across the face again, putting much more force and effort into it. The cold air and slap stung at her metallic exterior that she could tell was turning paler and more human like.

"That doesn't feel right..." V though as the palm of her hands started to sting too.

But she put that thought to the side as she slapped Uzi again, fully bringing her back to reality. Then she grabbed her and started shaking her like a human Heinz ketchup bottle to force her to breathe. Uzi shakily sucked in a breath, before V released her slowly.

"Good girl," V whispered.

"This is going to work," V muttered.

"J do you think you can take her and the child back to the capsule for a rest? I don't think she's going to be cut out for what's out here today"

J took one look at Uzi's pale and shaken exterior before slapping herself and grabbing the child as they walked back to the capsule.

"N...you and I are going to look for Tessa...alive or dead" She said with a sign because she had another objective for today.

N didn't say anything and instead unfurled his wings, taking off into the cold atmosphere silently. She could tell that he clearly cared about Uzi but was hurt from her pushing him aways as his visor flickered wildly.

"I don't get it...why does she keep pushing me away? I thought we were over it by know" She heard him muttering under his breath.

"I don't think she knew what she was doing N, I think she's losing it. Can you imagine the amount of pressure she has to face? As much as I hate to admit it, but she's just a teenager like us forced to grow up. Funny how that happens isn't it? Maybe that is the reason why I hate worker drones so much...they have never seen war and we have never seen peace. So...depression aside...what do you plan on doing after everything is over? Maybe take someone on a date?"

"I don't even know anymore, we don't even know if it will ever end" N said dimly.

"True...how about we talk about something we do know?" V said, treading carefully.

"Like?" N said suspiciously.

They landed abruptly in a pile of snow, in front of what seemed like the only human shelter left standing. The ground below them rumbled harder than before, causing them to shake. He kept her stable, causing her to flush. She nudged him away gently, and took out a flashlight. He disregarded her previous action and followed her as they looked around. Their eyes flickered to the multiple trails of blood that all followed into a building.

"How about feelings?" V said abruptly, spilling completely.

N stopped in his tracks, and turned to face V, giving her his full attention.

"What feelings?" He asked in confusion.

V took a deep breath and looked him directly in the eyes before muttering, "Mine."

"V, please. I am going to need you to be a little more specific" N said.

"I like you, N" V said.

"Oh..." N said scratching the back of his head; he had no idea what to say.

"Listen I know I made a lot of mistakes...but I was hoping you would give me a chance, just a small one" V confessed to him.

"Oh..."He repeated softly.

He sighed and looked her in the eyes with kindness as his face fell.

"You haven't forgiven me yet, have you?" V said, her feelings sinking.

"No...it's not that. I have forgiven you, I just haven't forgotten about it. To be honest I really did like you at first, but now? I am not over what you did to me...but I am over you" N said sadly.

"Ah...but there is another reason, isn't there?"V said quietly.

"It's because you love her" She finished.

He smiled sadly at her before looking away.

"I am not sure about anything, feelings aren't clear to me anymore. I am not sure she even loves me...she's hard to read" N admitted.

"If it helps...I think she definitely cares about you" V said hesitantly.

N smiled awkwardly before hesitating to tell her, "Even if my feelings for you aren't them same anymore, I still love you, as a sister and best friend"

V nodded and whispered, "I am not sure if my feelings could go away so quickly but...I appreciate you for everything, thank you".
