A week had passed, and it was now the time for the Chunin Exams to continue. The finalist had entered the ring instead of eight, and now ten Genin were going through. They listened to another boring speech from the Fourth Hokage, in which the students were getting bored to death. Once the speech was done, everyone in the audience and finalists looked up to the screen to see who was going first, and it was a bit surprising that starting off the first set of rounds, Naruto was up against Temari, who was a bit surprised as the two looked at each other while holding hands. "Um... Please be nice, Temari." Naruto said as he didn't want to fight her, but Temari had a playful smirk on her lips and winked at her brother-turned-boyfriend. "No, can do, Naruto; we have to fight, and I know it won't be any hard feelings. I still love you, silly." Temari said as Naruto smiled a little bit. Then, the two leaned close and kissed in front of everyone, and everyone who found it a pleasant moment went 'Awe' while others just wanted to watch the fight. Everyone else left the arena, but Sakura and Gaara held hands while walking back. Sakura looked at Gaara. "I hope we don't fight. I wouldn't have the heart to go through with it," she said as Gaara looked at her. "I know how you feel, but if we do go against each other, just know I'm treating you for another date," he said, reassuring her that everything would be okay. If they fight each other, Sakura scooted closer to Gaara and leaned on his left shoulder as they walked back to the stands.
Naruto and Temari broke their lips and went from holding each other's hands as they walked away to standing at opposite ends of each other. Temari had a small, sad expression that she didn't want this to happen, but she then had a good bet in mind as she looked at Naruto with another smirk. "Hey Naruto, I have a bet that I know this will make you fight," she said as she crossed her arms and still smirked at him. "What do you have in mind?." he asked as he looked a little puzzled, hoping it would not make their Mother freak out at them. Naruto is hoping it didn't freak out his real Mother, too. "The loser proposes the winner," she said, as she couldn't help but giggle at the look on Naruto's face as he was hunched over. His jaw dropped, his arms dangling, and his eyes widened so that he couldn't speak, but at the stands, two Mothers had a piece of their clothing in their mouths and their fists clenched and finally showing glowing red angry eyes; even their family were shocked of the sudden bet from Temari. "What is with that girl." Karura and Kushina said in unison as they looked at each other, but what was said next made both spirits want to leave their bodies. "You're on Temari," Naruto said as his two mothers looked back down at the arena and looked at Naruto with shocked faces. They fainted, causing Kimba and Rasa to panic slightly. Rasa chose to be with his family after receiving the information that Naruto and Temari had told him about the strange woman last week. The referee started the match. Naruto and Temari rushed at each other first. Temari used her giant fan to try and blow Naruto away, but he dodged it by spitting and ducked down on the ground. Then he summoned several Shadow Clones as he and his clones rushed at Temari to try and get her to lose balance, but she used her giant fan once more to blow away the clones before she faced Naruto. "Wind Style: Tornado Blow," she said as she inhaled. Then she blew out of her mouth a tornado that went to Naruto, blew him away, and slammed his back into a tree.
She thought she was too rigid and worried as Temari saw Naruto come off the tree and land on the ground, only for the Naruto she looked at was a clone. Temari was shocked as she quickly looked around, only to see Naruto approaching her. "Wind Style: Gust Wind Fist," he said as a gust of wind formed around his left fist and punched Temari in the face, causing her to fly backwards and land on her back on the ground. Then she flipped herself back on her feet and looked to her right, and spit out some blood. Then she looked at Naruto and wiped the drip of blood from her chin. "Cheep shot Naruto. That hurt," she said as Naruto was sad that he hurt her that badly. "I'm... I'm sorry, Temari," he said, but before he could say anything else, Temari whacked Naruto with her fan, making Naruto twirl several times in the air, then landed on the ground and rolled away from her. "Now we're even," she said as she stood up straight, with her right hand on her hip and left hand holding her giant fan, showing a stern expression. "That could have killed me, Naruto; what were you thinking," she said as she walked over to him while Naruto was getting back up to his feet, and he felt dizzy and unsteady. "I wasn't thinking... I'm sorry, Temari..." he said as he showed a sad expression and his heartfelt hurt that he did something so risky to Temari. Just as Naruto got back on his feet, Temari shoved her arms under his armpits and held him close. "Just don't do it ever again; I will make you regret it," she said as she could feel Naruto nod his head against her shoulder. "I'm sorry... I don't know how many times I need to say it, Temari, but I'm deeply sorry," he said as a tear escaped his right eye. Temari noticed this as she wiped his tears away, and they looked at each other.
