The following morning. Kumo slowly stirred in her sleep and softly moaned as she opened her eyes and noticed a ceiling than the night sky. Kumo slowly moved her head as she wanted to see where she was, and she noticed she was inside a kid's room. She placed her right hand on her forehead only to feel it damp, and she had another feel on her forehead to realise that it was a wet cloth on her head. Kumo slowly removed the cloth, noticed a bowl of water on the bed unit next to her, and put the cloth inside the bowl. Then, Kumo slowly sat up on the bed and looked around the room. She felt confused until her eyes landed on a sleeping Saya, who had half of her body resting on the bed and her head on Kumo's left thigh. Kumo was puzzled for a few seconds, and then she softly smiled, reached for Saya's hair, and gently brushed away Saya's hair from her face. The sudden touch made Saya stir in her sleep as she softly moaned and flattened her eyes open. She saw her mother sit up and softly smile at her with silver eyes, and her hair was now maroon. "Morning, sleepyhead," Kumo said as she giggled a little. Saya sharply shot up, and her eyes widened to see her mother awake. Then, Saya smiled brightly and hugged her mother. "MOM! You're awake!" Saya said as she nuzzled into her mother's neck and didn't want to let go of her. Kumo was slightly surprised, but then she smiled and hugged her daughter back. "Okay, Saya. How long was I out? You smell! You should have kept up with your hygiene," Kumo said as Saya giggled into her mother's neck, and then she leaned away. "Oh, Mom. Your well-being was more important to me than my hygiene," Saya started as a single shed of tear left her right eye and streaming down her face. Then, Kumo wiped the tear away and softly smiled at her, and she was waiting to hear how long she'd been out for. Saya smiles more at her mother. "You've been out for three weeks, Mom," Saya said. Kumo was surprised to hear this as she thought she was in an endless dream before she was awakened again. "I've been out cold for three weeks?" Kumo started as Saya nodded to her surprised question, and then Kumo looked at her hands. As she turned them several times, she saw her skin was no longer pale but light brown, and then she looked back at Saya. "I'm... I'm human... How!" Kumo asked as her voice sounded shaky and slightly speechless. Saya gently held both her mother's hands and brought them to her chest. "We think it's because of the sealing that Kaze and Sora used on Hachishakusama, and it must have taken away your yokai form. But we don't know if it's permanent or not," Saya explained as Kumo looked at her hand at Saya's chest and then back at Saya.

Kumo smiled and pulled her daughter into another hug. "I don't care if I lost my yokai powers for good, Saya. I'm your human mother now," Kumo said. Saya was slightly surprised by the sudden action but smiled at her mother's words and wrapped her arms around Kumo. Downstairs in the living room, Jiraiya and Kaiso are planning something for everyone, as most of the house is empty. Kaiso and his family are planning to go with Jiraiya on their training journey and will be moving into Suna. Konan was looking after her children, and Temari helped with the packing while Fu was looking after the kids by playing outside. She was being careful with Menrui. Then, Fu stopped playing and went to sit down on a lawn chair, panting heavily. "Holy Kami! You two really do have that Uzumaki energy," Fu said as Eiko and Emiko looked over and giggled at Fu, seeing her all sweaty and could hardly keep with them. Then, Eiko and Emiko came up to Fu, and then Eiko gently gripped her shirt and gently shook her. "Play with us, Fu," Eiko said. Fu giggled as she stopped Eiko from shaking her and shook her head. "I have your baby brother on me, remember? Plus, I can't keep up with you two," Fu said as she was saying that in a gentle voice rather than straight to the point. Eiko let go of Fu, and then she crossed her arms and pouted at Fu, and Fu started giggling at Eiko's adorable pouting. Then, Temari came outside after she helped pack up the kitchen and the Dojo, stood behind Fu, and tapped her head. "Have you seen the boys, Fu? We're about to leave within the next hour. And those lazy bums hardly helped," Temari asked and being annoyed. Fu turned around and looked up at Temari and shook her head at her. "Sorry, Temari. I haven't seen them since they left for training with Jiraiya-sensei's clone," Fu explained as Temari was red on the face. "TRAINING!" Temari yelled as she accidentally spooked Menrui, and he started crying. Temari sharply covered her mouth for yelling and forgot that Menrui was with Fu. Then, Fu gently rocked Menrui in her arms and hushly shushed Menrui to calm him down. "There, there, Menrui. Temari didn't mean to scare you," Fu said in a gentle voice while Eiko and Emiko watched and saw how Fu was being with their brother. They looked up to Fu like an Aunt since she saved them and kept them safe while the others were fighting Hachishakusama. Menrui slowly stopped crying and looked up at Fu. He reached his tiny arms up at her, wanting to be held by her. Fu brought him up to her and gave Menrui a gentle hug. "That's a good boy. No need to cry anymore," Fu said as Temari smiled at the scene before her and was happy to be a mother when she could.
