BSD REALITY

I ran. And I ran. And I continued running until I found a good enough hiding spot so that Miss Louisa and her weird friend could never find me. One hand stayed gripped tight to the gemstone on my necklace, the other on my dolly as I hugged her close.

I could hear my heart beating like drums pounding in my ears, if my dolly had a heart beat I'd be sure to hear that too, she would've been just as scared as I was. My eyes darted around the alley to try and see if anyone was coming, and to find an escape route just in case Miss Louisa did show up.

My body trembled, every sounds made me flinch and shook me to my core, believing it was her.

A rustle came from around the corner of the alley, my senses immediately heightened and I covered dolly's and my mouth to make sure no one could hear the slight sound of life hiding away in this alley. I didn't hear any footsteps, but the sound of plastic crumpling terrified me, perhaps they knew I was hiding there and just wanted to drag it out to make me more scared. My breath hitched as I noticed the noise drawing closer with each second, I thought this hiding spot was good enough that Miss Louisa and the man wouldn't be able to find Dolly and me. My eyes clenched shut as I awaited the rapidly approaching sound, my mind flicking over different ways to get out of this situation. There was no Carlos or Dazai to save me this time, and if I was found the response from Miss Louisa would be anything but kind.

To my surprise the rustling ran straight past me, when I opened my eyes relief flooded through me, only a stray cat scuttled past, its tail tangled in rustling rubbish. My relief lasted mere seconds before I heard footsteps running around the corner, headed straight towards me yet again. This time I knew it was a human by the sound, I was in big trouble. Clutching the necklace as well as dolly till my knuckles had gone white, I impatiently awaited the confrontation.

Dazai's POV

The nagging feeling in my gut persisted as I was forced to accompany Atsushi out of the train station and further down the street towards our mission. I should've got Atsushi to continue the mission, and then I could've gone after Y/N, following the tracker I put in her doll's jacket just to make sure she wasn't in any danger. Yet this was my job, and I was required to complete it with Atsushi.

Even as we gathered the evidence my mind still lingered on Y/N. As Atsushi faced a guard I thought back to Y/N, hoping she wasn't having to fight anyone. And as we finally left with the documents, my mind solely focused on Y/N.

"Atsushi, please go back to the agency and write up the mission, I have to go find Y/N now." I commanded, trying to sound convincing enough that he wouldn't just think this was me slacking off again.

"Of course, but are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" He asked, the innocent smile lighting his face, showing his pure intentions.

"That's okay, I'll find her." With a nod, Atsushi scurried off towards the train station, leaving me with time to finally track down Y/N, and hopefully see her safe with Miss Louisa, but my gut told me otherwise.

Following the tracker, I found myself in a playground, her doll just a few minutes away. My pace quickened and I could feel my heart pound just a little faster than usual. As I rounded yet another corner, my eyes darted to find Louisa accompanying another man, the look on their faces one of frustration as they seemed to be scanning the streets, possibly looking for Y/N. That just confirmed her to be near. One more glance to my phone, double checking where she was, and then I quietly walked over to the alley.

Before disappearing into the alley I made sure that Louisa hadn't spotted me or this alley. The two of them were far ahead in the distance, scavenging for any clues. I would have told them that Y/N was over here, but the feeling in my gut had made me raise my suspicions about her even more, and Y/N being in a small alley, not with Louisa, only further proved my point.
