...eventually only leaving him and a handful of others. Daniel and Endeavor remained at the table, along with Zelda, who was watching Link despite the discussion beside her.

As the rest of the crowd funneled out, Link leaned over the table, trying to review the information he'd been given about the assault. But try as he might, he couldn't avoid Zelda's frequent looks, his heart beat getting faster each time he noticed her.

After a while, Endeavor hit Daniel on the arm. He looked up in concern, asking, "What?" Endeavor didn't say anything, but Daniel turned to look between Link and Zelda before back at Endeavor still confused. Something seemed to come to mind. "Oh. Ohhhhhh! Right. Princess."

Zelda looked up from the notes she was very obviously pretending to read. Daniel gave her a small smile. "I've got it from here. Go take a walk. Some air would be a good idea."

Trying to hide her excitement, Zelda left quickly without a second glance. Link was a little surprised after all of the frequent looks, but he returned to reviewing the notes on the table.

"You too," Daniel said, snapping Link's attention back up. Daniel tipped his head towards the door, with a grin on his face.

Link wasn't sure what for, but he left the notes at the table. He looked back over his shoulder before he left, confused what Daniel knew that he didn't. He heard Daniel say something, though all he really got out of it was "...finally."

Shaking his head, Link guessed the two wanted some time together, particularly with their own newly formed relationship. He didn't know why Daniel hadn't just asked, but that was their business.

When he left the keep, he caught sight of Zelda across the courtyard. She was talking to a handful of workers about something Link couldn't make out, only her smile as they laughed about something.

"Link!"

He turned to see Princess approaching, her guards close behind and on their best behavior. Princess swept him away from the door, quickly pulling him into conversation. "You know, I'm very cross with you. About a number of things."

Link cringed a little, answering, "I'm sorry for volunteering the tunnels like that. It was out of line."

"Oh, good, we agree," Princess chided, snapping open a new fan. She waved it for a moment, looking away as they stopped at the edge of a switchback to look down at Akkal. She turned back to him. "But you know, it turned out rather ok in the end. So I'll forgive you."

"Thank you?" Link replied, unsure how to react. He wasn't sure what else Princess was mad about, but she didn't seem keen to answer.

"Now, I've been told I need to give you this medallion," Princess said, producing a lilac medallion with the emblem Link had seen in the Valley of Souls. Despite the implications of the sentence though, Princess kept it rather close to her. "I've also heard that all the other Sages here have gotten a dragon, and I haven't."

"Right. We didn't have Yore to perform the ritual when we were there and—" Link started, but Princess pushed a finger to his lips and he stopped.

"I don't need excuses. But I do know how you're going to make it up to me," Princess stated, standing a little taller. Link grew nervous at what Princess might want, but he hadn't heard anything about her previous desires to marry him since she'd shown up.

"Sure. What's that?" Link asked as Princess removed her finger.

Princess smiled, her tusks showing as she did. "I think I'll keep that to myself a little longer. And this." She held up the medallion again before tucking it back into her dress. "Something worthy of the best Sage in all of Hyrule." She was smiling to herself as she imagined whatever it was she was thinking of. Link nodded, not quite sure how to respond to Princess. At least, she seemed like she was in a good mood.
