Sekani Marquan

I held Tashara hair as she threw up in the toilet. I hope her ass ain't sick I was just kissing all over her.

She sat back crying. I held her rubbing her back. "My everything is hurting."

"Want some tylenol or something?" I asked her. She nodded going back to the toilet.

It's 5 in the morning. When she got done she brushed her teeth and curled up in my bed under the blanket. I put her hair in a lil ass bun and grabbed my keys.

"I'll be back ma." I told her. "Okay." She weakly replied.

I ran to the pharmacy and got her some tylenol, a ginger ale, and a gatorade. This how my mom used to hook me up.

I pulled my vibrating phone out of my pocket knowing it's Tasha.

"Kani can you get me a pregnancy test?" She asked. "Yea." She hung up and I went and grabbed one and took everything to the front.

After paying for it I headed back to my crib. When I got in I seen her back in the bathroom.

"You started back throwing up?" I asked her. "No but I felt like it."

I gave her the bag and she got back in the bed. She took 3 Tylenol dry and curled up.

I got in the bed with her wrapping my arms firmly around her. "What if I am pregnant?" She started crying into my chest.

"You gone be okay ma." I reassured her while rubbing her back. Shortly after, she fell asleep and so did I.

-
I woke up not feeling Tashara. She was in the bathroom on the phone. "Hayleigh I don't know." She said sounding like she was crying.

"Ma you good?" I knocked on the door. "Yea." She opened the door. I seen the tears coming down her face and the tests on the counter.

"What they say?" I asked her. "They're positive Sekani."

I froze. She started crying again.

"No baby. It's okay." I grabbed her. She cried in my chest. I hated seeing my baby like this.

This explains a lot though.

"I don't know what I'm gone do. I'm not ready to be a mom. I don't know how." She cried harder.

"You'll be okay my baby. We gone go through this together. Whether you wanna keep it or not is up to you."

"Really? I don't wanna get an abortion and you get mad at me." She looked up at me with tears in her eyes.

"Yes baby. I'lil be fine with whatever you decide." I truthfully told her.

Yes I want her carrying my seed but if she not ready, I won't force it.

"Thank you." She said. I kissed her tear stained face then her lips.

"Can we go to your mom house? I wanna talk to her?" She asked. I nodded.

I called her to let her know we were coming and she said okay.

We brushed our teeth and took a shower then made our way there. I already know my mom cooking.

I used my key to unlock the door and went in. "Tashara!" She exclaimed coming from the kitchen.

"Baby you look a mess." She hugged her. "Girl I am a mess." She responded back. "Hey son." She hugged me as well.

"Hey ma. What you cooking?" I headed to the kitchen to see. "Boy I'm making breakfast. Your grandma called me the other night talking about a dream."

"Talking about somebody pregnant. I told her it might be me but then I thought about you, my only son and thought nah. My baby Tasha can't be having a baby."

"Ma...gi-" She cut Tashara off. "No fucking way!" She jumped up.

"My baby having a baby?" She got excited. "I don't know if I'm ready." Tashara told her. "Girl I was like that. I was 17 when I had Sekani big head ass."

"How did you feel?" Tashara asked. "Well the first couple months are the worst I'll tell you that. That's when you be nauseous, his daddy was always sleep, and I was so emotional."

"You probably got pregnant on that birthday trip. Just being fast." She shook her head then her and Tashara busted out laughing.

"Maybe I was being a lil fast." Tashara did the motion with her fingers.

"I truly feel like you'll be a great mom. You guys are both financially stable, yall have a great foundation, and what's better for a kid than a granny like me?" She smiled.

We both laughed. "I have to use the bathroom." Tashara excused herself.

"Son I'm proud of you." My mom told me. "You have an amazing girlfriend, you're going to be a dad and you not gang affiliated. I raised you to be such a great man." She said. I smiled at her.

"Thank you. I'll marry her soon."
