Upon waking up, you felt the weariness in your bones still and your jaw was showing a small scratch from where the blood was just a few hours ago. You didn't know how to go about it, did you have to tell anyone? Did you have to tell Yuji at least? Or did he know already?
You went out, not even remotely ready to take on the day that was waiting for you. On this day you had to figure out the thing with Sukuna, get a vacation booked for Nanami and convince Yaga that you could accompany Gojo on this mission that was scheduled for next month.
Since you didn't return to Gojo's room in the morning, the first thing you needed to do was find him and you both needed to search for an appropriate room for Nanami in Malaysia and book it for his birthday week.
As you knocked on his door, you were met with silence – no one was in there. You wanted to talk to him before the training started, so you had to find him right now. Slowly opening the door, you stepped foot inside his room again, which looked like you found it yesterday, only more illuminated by the morning light.
Your eyes studied the room for a sign of him, but he wasn't there. Maybe he had already gone to the living room before the training to rest for a little bit, or talk to his students.
Turning around, you closed the door again and your feet stepped out again to get ready to look for him elsewhere.
First, you took a peek in the living room, finding nothing at all. Strolling through the hallways, you passed room after room, sneakily looking inside but getting disappointed right after.
The only place that was left, where you didn't search was down in the basement, where Shoko usually worked in the cold tiled room. So, you went down to your last resort – and if that didn't work, you could ask Shoko.
"Gojo?!" you yelled, opening the door to the basement. Two heads turned around as you stepped inside and a confused look spread on your face. "Y/n." both of them responded, in tune with each other.
Your gaze switched between them and it finally rested on the figure of the person laying on the metal bed in the middle of them.
With widened eyes, you stormed over to them, pushing them away to get through to the sleeping figure.
Shocked at what you saw, you held his cheeks and slapped him gently as you looked up to Shoko and Gojo again. "What happened?!" you hastily questioned, both turning their gaze towards the boy.
"Yuji didn't wake up this morning," Shoko responded tightly, "Did you see anything happen yesterday?"
Your eyes set on Gojo, who looked just as distraught as you since he had no idea what had happened between you and Sukuna last night. The atmosphere changed as you straightened your figure and your expression got serious.
Yuji looked pale, his cheeks were slightly sunken in, but his chest was still moving – so he must have been put to a deep sleep. You didn't know if he remembered what happened when he would wake up, and you pondered if you should tell Gojo and Shoko right away to get this off your chest.
"I heard a loud crashing sound last night," you began to explain and looked up to Gojo whose throat bobbed as he swallowed hard, "I went to check out what happened – and met Sukuna in the hallway after he destroyed the front door."
Shoko's mouth dropped open, unable to talk as she swiftly went around the table to feel Yuji's temperature.
"He's just in a deep sleep, but no matter what we do, he doesn't wake up," she said, "We've tried everything."
Gojo nodded in agreement, but made his way around the table too and stared at Yuji's unmoving body in front of him with his arms crossed on his chest. Soon enough, he narrowed his eyes at you and came closer again as he studied your face.
"Did something else happen?" He jerked his chin and tilted his head, noticing the scratch on your jaw even though you hoped nobody would see it.
You needed to tell them what exactly happened, or else they weren't able to help you in any way.
"It's nothing," you countered, "But he told me something." Gojo and Shoko furrowed their brows, her hand still on Yuji's forehead as Gojo leaned against the side of the bed.
"He told me that he wants my body."
"What? Why?" Shoko's question sounded more like a gasp as her hand left Yuji's face and she joined Gojo's side and her eyes bored through yours.
Gojo clenched his jaw as he removed his hands from the pockets of his pants, walking over to you. "I know exactly why." You rolled your eyes, annoyed that not even now he could let go of his pesky comments. Little did you know, he meant it another way – he knew your cursed energy was one of a kind, that's why he, too was so fascinated with you.
"Really? Even now you can't be serious?" you grumbled as you got closer to Yuji's face and walked around Gojo's tall figure.
You put your hands around Yuji's jaw, caressing his cheeks with your thumbs – brushing gently down the sides in a calm manner as you studied his relaxed expression.
"Yuji." you whispered.
There was not even the slightest reaction to your attempt to wake him up.
No muscle moved in his face – complete and utter stillness.
"Yuji," you tried again, "Wake up, please."
Again – Nothing.
The last thing you wanted to do was call out for the bastard of a curse that was housing in the teenager's body, but there certainly was no other choice left than to try.
Shoko and Gojo exchanged glances that told more than thousand words could ever do as you leaned down further to Yuji's ear.
"Sukuna," your hot breath hit the boy's skin, "Come and get what you want."
