Song: Plastic Palm Trees
By: Tate Mcrae
Dedicated to: the ones who look out the window when driving around the city
"Maybe we could–" I cut Everett off when I mumble a no.
"Or we could–" I cut him off again with another no.
He opens his mouth to talk but I quickly cover his mouth.
"No, now shush Aladdin is about to sing." I remove my hand from his mouth and lay back down.
We're back to a comfortable silence when the doorbell rings.
"Pizza's here, I'll go get it." He springs from the bed, probably starving.
They did have a game earlier and from what he's told me, it was a rough one.
Niko and Arius weren't communicating at all and it threw everyone off.
Everett came back a few minutes later with a pizza box in hand and sat back down next to me.
I sit up and we both grab our slices, Everett moaning in pleasure.
It almost makes me laugh but I contain it. The hollow feeling in my chest quickly replaced it.
Although, I am grateful Everett is here with me.
"Thank you." I mumble to him and he raises his eyebrows at me, "For?"
"For being here."
He gave me the biggest smile and took a bite of his pizza.
We didn't say anything else right after, we continued to watch the movie and ate our pizza.
