'please tell me I'm not forgotten as your silence is making me feel'.
~M.S.

Rahma didn't perceive that the position of executive chef differed from place to place. Here, at the box, the work of the executive chef was basically field work. She has to always be in the kitchen overseeing everything. In other places, like Al-naser in madina, the executive chef is always in the office doing paperwork, but she preferred the position better in the box.

It's Friday evening and she learnt from her new co-workers that it was the busiest of the whole week and she agreed with them. The day before, her first day at work had been less busy. She watched as the chefs walked around the large kitchen to get one thing or the other done. She had finished what she needed to for the evening but she stayed with them in case they needed more hands.

The kitchen door opened again as it had since morning and she turned to look at who came in, a waiter. He is the youngest, she heard and the newbie before her. Daniel, was it?.

"Madam". He stopped before her and she looked at him in question.

"Erm, one on...". He stuttered.

"What is the problem?". She asked him.

"A customer is asking for the manager". He rushed out.

"Why? Did something happen?".

"She said she ordered sea food rice without shrimps, but now she's complaining that she doesn't see any shrimps in the food". She nodded.

"Did you take the order?".

"Yes, ma'am". She gestured for him to follow her out. The manager and the chief executive chef were out on a meeting and had left everything to her.

As they approached the table, she caught sight of a man she'd believe she was mistaken if she didn't know his face so well as it had been long she last saw him in casual clothings.

"Good evening". She greeted when they stopped by the table. She noticed the lady he was with today was different.

"Are you the manager?". The lady asked in a voice Rahma knew was ready for trouble. She cast a quick glance at Dawud who had his head bent slightly as he typed on his phone.

"No, the manager is not available, so you can tell me the problem". Rahma told her calmly and the lady scoffed.

"How won't the manager be available, I'll only speak to the manager". Rahma stared at her then sighed.

"Like I said the manager is unavailable and if you do have a problem, you should tell me". Rahma said and the lady gave her long hard glare, Dawud looked up at that and she let their gazes clash for the briefest moment.

"Well then, I ordered seafood rice and asked if you put shrimps in it, he said yes, then he brings it without shrimps". Rahma knew for sure the lady just liked problems.

"I'm sorry but I heard a completely different story from our worker. Where's your notepad?". She turned to Daniel, he fumbled in his pockets then pulled it out and gave it to her.

"It says here too that you ordered without shrimps and I'm sorry but if you really did want shrimps in it you wouldn't have asked, because it's seafood, it would be expectant to have shrimps in it".

"Are you trying to say I don't know what I ordered?!".

"If you are not okay with the food, please we'll bring what you want or you want to order something else?". The lady glared harder, if that was possible.
