Scenario 5

How will you tame the Beast?

Still interested in the challenge? Ah good, good. You're finally showing some potential at least. Remember to save all your answers for each scenario yadda, yadda, yadda, for the final judgment. Okay. Now onto your fifth scenario.

~ Story ~

The young woman gives you a curious look, before finishing her cookie. Now that you look at her closely, you realize she's much younger than you thought she would be. When you ask her how old she is, she replies with a simple chuckle. "Definitely not old enough to be in this tavern. But don't tell the bartender, I need a place to stay.". You're a little surprised that she managed to sneak into the bar, but also getting that feeling that the bartender knew all along and is letting her stay. A heavy hand suddenly weighs on your shoulder and you look up to acknowledge its presence as a man in a hat and sunglasses as he hands you of what seems to be a recorder. The girl is back to looking outside the window and quite frankly doesn't seem very interested. He places the recorder on the table and you take it, thanking him. As he goes, you excuse yourself from the table and go back to your room to listen, sitting on your bed as you do so.

Recorder plays:

Person in recorder: "Hello, this is Laura Lloyd, and I'm a reporter for the central spectra news. I was interviewing Mr. Ronaldo Faqado, regarding the fire that occurred a few days ago in the outskirts of town. I don't know where I am, but I'm scared. If you don't bother coming to Ronaldo's place, you don't know what happened. The Beast took us, it's really dark and all that I can make out is that I'm on the floor. It's made of wood, a cabin. There's cabins in the woods, I'm in one of those. Please, I don't have my cell phone and I don't know what's going to happen to me. I don't see Ronaldo anywhere, but there's no new blood or anything either, so I guess it's a good sign. I don't hear anything, not even birds or deer. It's like the forest is dead here. There, my eyes are adjusting now and I can see only one window, no doors. It's at least I think it's knocked down-"

Unknown female: "I know, it's a mess. But I'm taking care of it. Just do this for me."

Unknown male: "Ugh, alright. I'll take them back to me to get them wiped clean."

Laura: "Oh God, I hear someone coming. Please, please, please' ahh-"

'She is cut off by a slashing noise. Then someone steps on some random object on the ground.'

Unknown female: "What's that?"

Unknown male: "Some kind of plastic thing, I don't know."

Unknown female: "Ugh, whatever. Toss it outside."

Recording Ends:

Your eyes widen at the voice on the recorder. It was a bit distorted, but you thought that it sounded a little too much like the girl downstairs that you just met. But before you can begin to reason with yourself, you hear commotion outside followed by gunshots. Everyone at the bar comes out to investigate, all heading for the door. You follow and see a man running away to the edge of the forest. Behind him is a looming shadow with luminous eyes and what you can make out as to be large claws.

This is your fifth choice, what do you do?

1: Shoot the shadow as it goes for the man.

2: Grab the man and duck behind a large pile of barrels nearby.

3: Or run back inside the tavern to hide.
