The day of the wedding arrived. It was a lovely Sunday afternoon. Roxanne's apartment was already busy. Dressmakers, hair stylists and makeup artists were sent to make the bride beautiful. Lizzy and Thorn would also help with the makeover.

Roxanne was sat on a chair in her pretty wedding dress. A white gown with a rose-like pattern on the skirt and silver diamonds on the top with straps that represented a daisy pattern. Her hair were styled in a Victorian bun with a white see-through veil attached on it with a silver hair clip.

At the moment she was having her makeup applied. The girl's face was filled with a slight hint of sorrow. She would fidget with her fingers every now and then. Anxiety and nervousness had encircled her heart and mind, something that didn't go unnoticed by Thorn.

Once Roxanne's makeup was done the other female approached her.

"You don't seem fine Roxy". She began.

Roxanne let out a sigh and looked up at her friend.

"I'm not... I'm forced to do something I never agreed on".

"I understand how you feel. I wouldn't want something like this either". Replied Thorn.

"I'm kinda nervous Candace..." admitted Roxanne.

Lizzy who had noticed that something was off approached the girls.

"What's wrong here?" she asked.

"None of your business bitch". Growled Thorn.

Lizzy scoffed and ignored the other female completely.

"What's wrong Roxy?" she mocked Roxanne. "Are you nervous perhaps? Aw forget about it. I've been in the exact same position as you. You'll be nervous at first but you'll get over it. Can we get to the church now!?" she spat out the last sentence with annoyance.

Roxanne silently took a last glance of herself at the mirror before she stood up. As soon as she did that everyone applauded her for how beautiful she was in her wedding dress. The young woman forced a soft smile before she went back to a frown.

"Come on! Why the frown now? You're getting married girl!" Lizzy tried to remind her.

"She would be happier if it wasn't for you and your stupid former father-in-law!" snapped Thorn.

Lizzy scoffed again.

"Let's just get this over with". She said finally and then walked out of the room.

At that moment Roxanne started pleading her friend.

"Promise me you actually have a plan Candace! I can't do this!" tears started forming in her eyes.

Thorn was left with her mouth agape at her friend's plea. Then she closed it and smiled softly as she prevented a tear from falling off Roxanne's eye with her finger.

"Now, now there's no need to cry Roxy. You'll ruin your makeup. I told you I've got everything covered. That asshole and his bitch won't win in this, I promise".

Roxanne smiled at Thorn's reassurance.

"Now let's get going. The groom is waiting". Thorn said finally and lead Roxanne outside.

Right before Roxanne's home a black limousine was waiting. Lizzy was already waiting next to it.

"We're gonna be late idiots!" she yelled.

Thorn helped Roxanne descend the stairs and lead her towards the limousine. She opened the door for her friend and helped her in. Then she closed it. Lizzy who had witnessed this mocked them.

"I didn't know you were treating her like a gentleman. Have you got a crush on her or what?"

Thorn's expression grew bitter.

"You'd better shut it or I'll punch your face for good".

"Tch... pathetic bitch..." commented Lizzy and got in the limousine.

Thorn did the same.

The whole drive was silent. Roxanne was gazing out of the window the whole time lost in her thoughts and of course ignoring Thorn's and Lizzy's bickering every now and then. The girl felt the urge to cry but she knew it was not the time to let it all out. She took two deep breaths. Now her fate was laying in Thorn's hands. She wouldn't suffer for long. She would get out of there quickly.

The limousine arrived in front of the church. It was crowded. Max could be seen in front of the entrance with his suit next to his father holding a bouquet of flowers. The doors of the limousine opened and Roxanne got out. Everyone applauded. Max was mesmerized.

Accompanied by Thorn and Lizzy the young woman made it to the spot Max was standing. The male quickly handed the bouquet to Roxanne.

"You look gorgeous today!" he began.

Roxanne replied with a shy 'thank you' and the couple entered the church.

As they walked through the hallway the wedding music was playing. The attendants who were sat on their seats stood up and applauded the couple. They stopped before the priest who started with the ceremony.
